Latar belakang : Hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyakit kronik vaskular yang semakin meningkat prevalensinya di dunia. Berdasarkan Riset Kesehatan Dasar tahun 2018, dilaporkan setidaknya 34,1% dari 260 juta penduduk Indonesia menderita hipertensi. Kondisi hipertensi ini juga kerap mempengaruhi kualitas fungsi kognitif seseorang. Beberapa penelitian sebelumnya telah membuktikan bahwa kondisi hipertensi dapat menurunkan fungsi kognitif seseorang terutama pada usia lanjut di atas 60 tahun, namun belum banyak yang meneliti hal ini pada kelompok usia dewasa muda 18-45 tahun. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui hubungan kondisi hipertensi dengan penurunan fungsi kognitif pada pasien rawat jalan usia 18-45 tahun di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Tangerang. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan jenis studi analitik komparatif kategorik tidak berpasangan dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap pasien rawat jalan usia 18-45 tahun di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Tangerang. Peneliti menggunakan kuesioner Montreal Cognitive Assessment versi Indonesia (MoCa-Ina). Hasil penelitian kemudian diolah menggunakan software SPSS 25 yang kemudian dianalisis dengan metode chi-square dengan alternatif analisis fisher. Hasil : Sebanyak 122 responden dimasukkan kedalam analisis penelitian. Kondisi hipertensi memiliki hubungan dengan penurunan fungsi kognitif (PR 1,61; 95% CI; P = 0,003 < 0,05). Setelah analisis multivariat, kondisi hipertensi masih berhubungan dengan penurunan fungsi kognitif (Sig. 0,028 < 0,05). Simpulan : Kondisi hipertensi memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan penurunan fungsi kognitif pada pasien rawat jalan usia 18-45 tahun di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Tangerang. Which is in 2018, according to Riset Kesehatan Dasar Indonesia, reported that at least 34.1% from 260 million population of Indonesia, suffered from hypertension. This condition of hypertension also affects the quality of a person's cognitive function. Several previous studies have proven that hypertension can cause mild cognitive decline, especially in the elderly over 60 years, but not many have investigated this in the young adult age group of 18-45 years. Objective : to determine the correlation between hypertension and cognitive function decline in outpatients aged 18-45 years at Siloam General Hospital, Tangerang. Methods : This research is a unpaired categorical comparative analytical study with a cross-sectional observation study design. This research was conducted on outpatients aged 18-45 years at Siloam General Hospital, Tangerang. Researchers used the Indonesian version of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment questionnaire. The result of this research were then processed using SPSS 25 software which was then analyzed using the chi-square method with an alternative fisher analysis. Results : A total of 122 respondents were included in the research analysis. Hypertensive conditions were associated with cognitive function decline (PR 1.61; 95% CI; P = 0.003 < 0.05). After multivariate analysis, hypertension was still associated with cognitive function decline (Sig. 0.028 < 0.05). Conclusion : The condition of hypertension has a significant relationship with cognitive function decline in outpatients aged 18-45 years at Siloam General Hospital, Tangerang.
