Abstract
Motivasi belajar merupakan tindakan yang mendorong seseorang untuk melakukan kegiatan belajar dan mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Tanpa motivasi belajar maka pembelajaran tersebut menjadi tidak bermakna. Masalah yang ditemukan adalah motivasi belajar Fisika dari siswa sangat kurang. Oleh karena itu, peran guru Kristen dalam menumbuhkan motivasi belajar siswa sangat penting dengan memandang siswa sebagai Imago Dei dengan keunikan yang dimiliki untuk mengembangkan potensi yang dimiliki dan memuliakan Allah. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan model Backward by Design untuk menumbuhkan motivasi belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peran guru Kristen dalam memotivasi siswa dengan merancang dan mendesain model pembelajaran Backward by Design. Hasil penelitian adalah model Backward by Design terbukti dapat menumbuhkan motivasi belajar siswa pada pelajaran Fisika yang dilihat dari keterlibatan siswa secara aktif selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung melalui kegiatan praktikum. Kesimpulannya, model Backward by Design mampu menolong guru dalam merancang dan mendesain pembelajaran Fisika untuk menumbuhkan motivasi belajar siswa. Saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya untuk memperoleh data yang lebih detail mengenai pertumbuhan motivasi belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Backward by Design yaitu perlu melakukan wawancara kepada siswa, menggunakan skala angket, dan memberikan penilaian refleksi / Learning motivation is an action that encourages someone to carry out learning activities and achieve learning goals. Without motivation to learn, learning becomes meaningless. The problem found is that the student's motivation to learn Physics is very lacking. Therefore, the role of Christian teachers in fostering student motivation is very important by viewing students as Imago Dei with their uniqueness to develop their potential and glorify God. The Backward by Design model was used to foster student learning motivation. The method used is the descriptive qualitative method. The purpose of this paper is to describe the role of Christian teachers in motivating students by designing and designing the Backward by Design learning model. The result of the research is that the Backward by Design model is proven to foster student learning motivation in Physics lessons which can be seen from the active involvement of students during the learning process through practicum activities. In conclusion, the Backward by Design model can help teachers in designing and designing Physics lessons to foster student learning motivation. Suggestions for further research to obtain more detailed data regarding the growth of students' learning motivation using the Backward by Design learning model, namely the need to conduct interviews with students, use a questionnaire scale, and provide reflection assessments.
