Abstract

Keterampilan komunikasi menjadi aspek penting yang perlu dilatih dan dikembangkan sehingga siswa memiliki kesiapan menghadapi persaingan masa kini, maka guru perlu merancang pembelajaran yang dapat mengakomodasi hal tersebut. Kenyataan yang ditemukan di lapangan ialah pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan di dalam kelas belum mengakomodasi siswa dalam mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasinya, yaitu belum semua siswa mendapatkan kesempatan untuk mengemukakan pendapat, mengajukan pertanyaan, dan memberikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini ditulis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan tujuan untuk menjelaskan penerapan presentasi poster pada pembelajaran IPA dalam mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasi siswa kelas VIII SMP. Pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan di dalam kelas harus memandang Allah sebagai sumber kebenaran dan pengetahuan itu sendiri. Guru Kristen berperan merancang pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mengakomodasi siswa dalam melatih keterampilannya sehingga dapat berkembang. Sehingga baik pengetahuan yang didapatkan maupun keterampilan yang dikembangkan, semua itu dilakukan untuk kemuliaan Tuhan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, presentasi poster menjadi alternatif upaya untuk mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasi siswa pada pembelajaran IPA di kelas VIII SMP, karena menjawab 3 indikator keterampilan komunikasi yaitu mengemukakan pendapat, bertanya jawab, serta memberi kesimpulan. Saran kepada peneliti selanjutnya supaya mencari strategi atau solusi lainnya yang memberikan banyak ruang kepada siswa untuk berpartisipasi di dalam pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasi siswa di dalam pembelajaran./Communication skills are an important aspect that needs to be trained and developed so that students are prepared to face today's competition, so teachers need to design learning that can accommodate this. The reality found in the field is that the learning carried out in the classroom has not accommodated students in developing their communication skills, that is, not all students have the opportunity to express opinions, ask questions, and provide conclusions. This research was written using a qualitative descriptive method with the aim of explaining the application of poster presentations to science learning in developing communication skills of grade VIII junior high school students. Learning carried out in the classroom must view God as the source of truth and knowledge itself. Christian teachers play a role in designing effective learning to accommodate students in practicing their skills so that they can develop. So that both the knowledge gained and the skills developed, all of it is done for the glory of God. Based on the results of this study, poster presentations are considered effective in developing students' communication skills in science learning in class VIII junior high school, because they answer 3 indicators of communication skills, namely expressing opinions, asking questions, and giving conclusions. Advice from researchers to subsequent researchers to find strategies or other solutions that give students plenty of space to participate in effective learning to develop students' communication skills in learning.
