Abstract

Sikap siswa di dalam pembelajaran menjadi sebuah hal yang penting, secara khusus sikap disiplin siswa di dalam kelas. Penelitian dilakukan pada siswa kelas VII di salah satu sekolah swasta di daerah Jakarta Barat yang memperoleh hasil bahwa siswa kurang menunjukkan sikap disiplin pada pembelajaran sehingga solusi yang diupayakan adalah memberikan penghargaan dan konsekuensi dalam membangun sikap disiplin siswa kelas VII. Melalui hal tersebut, penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif diskriptif yang didasarkan kepada pandangan Alkitabiah yang menjelaskan bahwa guru sebagai agen kasih Allah di dalam kelas selayaknya menjadi penuntun siswa melalui pertimbangan dalam pemberian penghargaan dan konsekuensi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kondisi siswa. Oleh karena itu, pemberian penghargaan dan konsekuensi selayaknya dapat menjadi upaya yang efektif dalam membangun sikap disiplin siswa kelas VII. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemberian penghargaan dan konsekuensi dapat menjadi upaya yang efektif dalam membangun sikap disiplin siswa kelas VII. Melalui penelitian ini diharpkan akan muncul penelitian-penelitian lain yang mengembangkan pemberian penghargaan dan konsekuensi dalam membangun sikap lain seperti sikap toleransi atau sikap aktif siswa./ The attitude of students in learning becomes an important thing, particularly the attitude of student discipline in the classroom. The study was conducted on seventh-grade students in a private school in West Jakarta which found that students did not show discipline in learning, so the solution sought was to provide rewards and consequences in building the disciplined attitude of seventh-grade students. Through this, the research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods based on a biblical view which explains that teachers as agents of God's love in the classroom should be the guides of students through consideration of giving rewards and consequences according to the needs and conditions of students. Therefore, giving rewards and appropriate consequences can be an effective effort in building the disciplined attitude of class VII students. The purpose of this study was to determine how awarding and consequences can effectively build the disciplined attitude of class VII students. Through this research, it is hoped that other studies will emerge that develop rewards and consequences in building other attitudes such as tolerance or active student attitudes.
