Abstract

Proses belajar merupakan kegiatan yang memerlukan konsentrasi dari seorang individu. Terdapat berbagai faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi konsentrasi belajar yaitu antara lain kesehatan fisik, kualitas tidur, kondisi psikologis, kelelahan, dan status gizi. Faktor eksternal yang dikatakan berperan dalam mempengaruhi tingkat konsentrasi yaitu suhu ruangan, ruangan belajar, waktu belajar, tingkat kebisingan, dan prasarana pendukung pembelajaran. Mengacu kepada peraturan KEMENKES suhu ideal ketika bekerja adalah 18-28°C. Perubahan suhu yang melewati nilai ambang batas ini akan berpengaruh pusat pengatur suhu yang terletak di hipotalamus sehingga timbul feedback oleh hipotalamus untuk mengembalikan keseimbangan termal tubuh menjadi normal. Dalam penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Setiyorini ditunjukkan bahwa lingkungan kondusif termasuk di dalamnya adalah faktor lingkungan seperti temperatur ruangan memiliki pengaruh terhadap konsentrasi belajar pada mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara suhu ruangan terhadap tingkat konsentrasi belajar pada pelajar SMPN 1 Tarakan Kalimantan Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi analitik komparatif kategorik tidak berpasangan dengan desain studi potong lintang terhadap 70 responden yang telah memenuhi kriteria penelitian. Suhu ruangan kelas diukur menggunakan alat ukur termometer ruangan sedangkan tingkat konsentrasi belajar siswa diukur menggunakan Concentration Grid Test yang diisi dalam waktu 1 menit. Data kemudian dianalisa menggunakan program SPSS. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara suhu ruangan kelas dengan tingkat konsentrasi belajar siswa SMPN 1 Tarakan dengan p-value = 0,003 serta Odds Ratio 5,440 (95% CI: 1,887 – 15,685) dengan probabilitas sebesar 84%. / The learning process is an activity that requires concentration from an individual. There are various factors that can affect the concentration of learning, namely physical health, sleep quality, psychological condition, fatigue, and nutritional status. External factors that play a role in influencing the level of concentration are room temperature, study room, study time, and learning support infrastructure. According to the Ministry of Health regulations, the ideal working temperature is 18-28°C. Changes in temperature that exceed this threshold value will affect the temperature control center located in the hypothalamus so that feedback occurs by the hypothalamus to restore the body's thermal balance to normal. In the research conducted by Setiyorini, it was shown that environmental factors including the environment such as room temperature had an influence on the concentration of learning in students. Therefore, this study aims to determine the relationship between room temperature and concentration levels in students of SMPN 1 Tarakan, North Kalimantan. This study uses an unpaired categorical analytic comparative study with a cross-sectional design of 70 respondents who have met the research criteria. Room temperature was measured using a room thermometer while the level of student learning concentration was measured using the Concentration Grid Test which was filled in within 1 minute. The data were then analyzed using the SPSS program. In this study, it was found that there was a significant relationship between classroom temperature and the level of concentration of students at SMPN 1 Tarakan with p-value = 0.003 and Odds Ratio 5.440 (95% CI: 1.887 – 15.685) with a probability of 84%.
