Abstract

Pemahaman konsep matematis temasuk kemampuan yang harus dimiliki siswa untuk dapat mempelajari dan menguasai konsep matematika dengan baik. Pada kenyataannya, pemahaman konsep matematis siswa masih tergolong rendah. Hal itu ditemukan di sekolah Jakarta Barat, siswa belum mampu menyatakan kembali konsep yang dipelajari, tidak bisa mengklasifikasi objek berdasarkan sifat matematikanya, dan belum mampu menyatakan konsep ke representasi matematis lain. Solusi yang dapat dilakukan guru adalah menggunakan media pembelajaran yang dapat memvisualisasi konsep matematika menjadi lebih konkret, seperti GeoGebra. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memaparkan penggunaan media pembelajaran GeoGebra sebagai upaya dalam mendukung tercapainya pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas IX. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pemahaman konsep menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir yang diberikan Allah kepada siswa sebagai gambar dan rupa Allah dan perlu dikembangkan. Melalui kegiatan eksplorasi pada GeoGebra, siswa dapat menemukan sendiri konsep yang dipelajari sehingga siswa dapat memiliki pemahaman konsep matematis yang baik. Berdasarkan pengerjaan worksheet, siswa telah menyelesaikan dengan benar sehingga dapat disimpulkan penggunaan software GeoGebra dapat mendukung pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Adapun saran yang dapat diberikan peneliti adalah penerapan media pembelajaran GeoGebra untuk mendukung pemahaman konsep siswa dapat dilaksanakan lebih dari 1 kali supaya diperoleh data yang lebih lengkap dan akurat./Mathematics conceptual understanding is the abilities that students must have to solve the problems. In fact, students' understanding of mathematical concepts is still low. One of schools in West Jakarta shows that students have not been able to restate the concepts, could not classify objects based on the mathematical properties, and could not express concepts to other mathematical representations. Using GeoGebra learning media as a solution to visualize the abstract of mathematical. The purpose of this research to describe the use of GeoGebra learning media as an effort to support the understanding mathematical concepts students grade 9. It uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Understanding is the thinking ability of God’s given to students as image of God. It needs to be developed. Through exploration activities in GeoGebra, students can find the concepts being studied so that students can have an understanding of the concept. The suggestions to researchers who take the same research, GeoGebra can be applied more than once to obtain the more complete and accurate data of describing it as an effort to support understanding concept.
