Abstract

Bahasa Indonesia merupakan pelajaran yang sudah terlihat jelas kaitannya dengan kehidupan siswa di negara Indonesia. Namun, meskipun sudah melekat dalam kehidupan, pelajaran ini justru kurang diminati oleh siswa dan termasuk dalam kategori pelajaran yang membosankan dan kurang menyenangkan bagi siswa. Perasaan yang dialami siswa ketika mengikuti pelajaran tersebut akan berpengaruh terhadap sikap siswa. Selama proses pembelajaran siswa terlihat kurang aktif, mengantuk, dan kurang mendengarkan penjelasan guru. Penelitian dan penulisan ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk menjelaskan penerapan metode pembelajaran variatif untuk mendorong minat belajar siswa dalam pelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Melalui penelitian yang telah dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa metode pembelajaran variatif mampu mendorong minat siswa. Hal ini terlihat dari adanya peningkatan ketertarikan, perhatian, perasaan senang, dan keterlibatan siswa dalam mengikuti pelajaran. Proses untuk meningkatkan minat siswa bukanlah proses yang mudah, guru harus berupaya untuk mempelajari metode tertentu yang dapat menjawab kebutuhan siswa dalam mengikuti pelajaran. Namun, ketika guru sudah dapat mendorong minat siswa, maka siswa dapat memberi sikap yang benar dan menikmati proses pembelajaran sebagai salah satu anugerah yang diberikan Tuhan untuk mengenal keunikan bahasa Indonesia sebagai ciptaan Tuhan. Pada penelitian selanjutnya, penulis menyarankan untuk mengobservasi metode serta mengevaluasi penerapannya agar dapat diterapkan dengan lebih baik sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa./ Indonesian is a lesson that has a clear connection with the lives of students in Indonesia. However, even though it is inherent in life, this lesson is actually less attractive to students and is included in the category of lessons that are boring and less fun for students. The feelings experienced by students when following the lesson will affect student attitudes. During the learning process students look less active, sleepy, and don't listen to the teacher's explanation. This research and writing uses a qualitative descriptive method which aims to explain the application of various learning methods to encourage students' interest in learning Indonesian. Through research that has been done, it was found that varied learning methods were able to encourage students' interest. This can be seen from an increase in interest, attention, feelings of pleasure, and student involvement in following the lesson. The process of increasing student interest is not an easy process, teachers must strive to learn certain methods that can answer students' needs in following lessons. However, when the teacher is able to encourage student interest, students can give the right attitude and enjoy the learning process as one of God's gifts to recognize the uniqueness of the Indonesian language as God's creation. In further research, the authors suggest observing the method and evaluating its application so that it can be applied better according to student needs.
