Abstract
ABSTRAK
Permasalahan yang terlihat nyata dalam setiap proses belajar di salah satu sekolah
swasta Kristen di Lampung adalah terdapat peserta didik yang pasif. Proses
pembelajaran hanya berlangsung satu arah dengan metode yang monoton sehingga
peserta didik hanya mengikuti alur yang monoton tersebut. Guru Kristen
memahami bahwa peserta didik diciptakan segambar dan serupa dengan Allah,
untuk itu guru perlu merancang metode pembelajaran yang menghargai peserta
didik supaya mereka dapat bertumbuh dengan maksimal dalam seluruh ranah
pembelajaran. Metode pembelajaran yang dirancang guru Kristen perlu
mengembangkan ranah afektif, kognitif, dan psikomotorik mereka. Tujuan dari
penelitian ini adalah melihat penerapan metode pembelajaran variatif dalam
mengupayakan keaktifan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran dan menjelaskan
langkah-langkah penerapan metode pembelajaran variatif untuk mengupayakan
keaktifan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam
penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Dalam mengatasi permasalahan
keaktifan dalam pembelajaran, guru menerapkan metode pembelajaran variatif.
Metode pembelajaran variatif berarti penggabungan dua atau lebih metode
pembelajaran untuk menunjang proses pembelajaran. Metode pembelajaran variatif
yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode ceramah, tanya jawab, dan
resitasi. Saran yang perlu ditingkatkan untuk penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan
dapat mengkaji lebih lanjut variasi metode pembelajaran yang kreatif untuk
mengupayakan keaktifan peserta didik.

ABSTRACT
The real problem in every learning process at a private Christian school in Lampung
is that the students are passive. The learning process only takes place in one
direction with a monotonous method, so students only follow the monotonous flow.
Christian teachers understand that students are created in the image and likeness of
God, that teachers need to design learning methods that respect students so that they
can grow optimally in all areas of learning. Learning methods designed by Christian
teachers need to develop their affective, cognitive, and psychomotor domains. The
purpose of this research is to look at the use of varied learning methods in seeking
students' activeness in the learning process and to explain the steps of using varied
learning methods to seek the activeness of students in learning. The method used in
this research is descriptive qualitative method. In overcoming the problem of
activity in learning, teachers apply varied learning methods. Variative learning
method means combining two or more learning methods to support the learning
process. The varied learning methods used in this research are lecture, question and answer, and assignment methods. Suggestions that need to be improved for further
research are expected to be able to further examine variations in creative learning
methods to seek student activity.
