Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains sangat dibutuhkan untuk membantu siswa berpikir dan menyelesaikan masalah secara ilmiah. Namun hasil yang didapatkan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa Keterampilan Proses Sains siswa kurang dioptimalkan yang ditunjukkan dari tiga indikator Keterampilan Proses Sains yaitu mengamati, menggunakan alat/ bahan, dan berkomunikasi yang tidak terpenuhi. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan penerapan PBL dengan teknik praktikum untuk mengoptimalkan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil yang didapatkan, model ini dapat mengoptimalkan keterampilan proses sains yang ditandai dengan tercapainya ketiga indikator Keterampilan Proses Sains yang diteliti dilihat dari pengerjaan Lembar kerja siswa. Keterampilan Proses Sains dibutuhkan agar siswa memiliki kemampuan untuk menggali pengetahuan secara ilmiah. Meskipun demikian, dasar pembelajaran tetap Allah sebagai Sang kebenaran. Kebenaran yang kita peroleh merupakan aktualisasi diri Allah yang diwahyukan melalui Alkitab sebagai sumber kebenaran Allah. Saran kepada peneliti selanjutnya adalah menjaga kekondusifan kelas, mencatat detail observasi, dan berdiskusi mengenai kesesuaian media dengan kebutuhan dan kondisi siswa agar keterampilan proses sains dapat dioptimalkan./ Science process skills are needed to help students think and solve problems scientifically. However, the results obtained in the field indicate that students' Science Process Skills are not optimized, which is indicated by the three Science process skills’ indicators, namely observing, using tools/materials, and communicating which are not fulfilled. This paper aims to describe the application of PBL with experimental technique to optimize students' science process skills. The method used in this paper is descriptive qualitative. The results from this research, the model can optimize science process skills which is marked by the achievement of the three Science process skills’ indicators studied in terms of students’ worksheet. Science Process Skills are needed so that students can explore scientific knowledge. Nevertheless, the basis of learning remains God as the truth. The truth we get is the self-actualization of God revealed through the Bible as the source of God's truth. Suggestions to further researchers are to maintain class conditions, record detailed observations, and discuss the suitability of the media with the needs and conditions of students so that science process skills can be optimized.
