Abstract
Latar belakang: Kualitas tidur adalah kepuasan seseorang dari pengalaman tidur, mengintegrasikan aspek inisiasi tidur, pemeliharaan tidur, kuantitas tidur, dan penyegaran saat bangun. Kualitas tidur yang baik menyebabkan kesehatan yang lebih baik, rasa kantuk yang lebih sedikit di siang hari, kesejahteraan yang lebih baik dan fungsi psikologis yang lebih baik. Aktivitas fisik adalah gerakan tubuh yang dihasilkan oleh kontraksi otot rangka yang meningkatkan pengeluaran energi. Beberapa penelitian menemukan bahwa aktivitas fisik yang baik bisa menyebabkan sleep onset latency dan time awake after sleep onset lebih pendek dan total sleep time yang lebih panjang menyebabkan peningkatan kualitas tidur. Maka dari itu, aktivitas fisik yang baik diperlukan agar mahasiswa bisa lebih sehat dan jarang ada rasa kantuk supaya pembelajaran bisa lebih efektif.
Metodologi: Desain penelitian merupakan studi potong lintang (cross sectional study). Penelitian dilakukan kepada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan yang diambil dengan metode purposive sampling. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner IPAQ dan PSQI. Hasil penelitian diolah menggunakan uji statistik Chi-square dan aplikasi SPSS 26.0.
Hasil: Dari 162 responden yang didapat, 2 responden dieksklusi. Dari 160 responden yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi, 53 responden memiliki aktivitas fisik ringan, 107 responden memiliki aktivitas fisik sedang-berat, 65 responden memiliki kualitas tidur yang buruk dan 95 responden memiliki kualitas tidur yang baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode uji Chi-Square dan didapatkan nilai p adalah p = 0,017 yang menandakan ada hubungan yang signifikan.
Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini memiliki nilai p yang signifikan yaitu p = 0,017 dan nilai OR = 2,383 (95% CI = 1,215-4,673). Berdasarkan nilai p dan nilai OR dapat disimpulkan bahwa aktivitas fisik sedang dan berat dapat menyebabkan kualitas tidur yang lebih baik pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan.

Background: Sleep quality is a person's satisfaction from the sleep experience, integrating aspects of sleep initiation, sleep maintenance, sleep quantity, and awakening refreshment. Good quality sleep leads to better health, less sleepiness during the day, better well-being and better psychological functioning. Physical activity is defined as body movement produced by contraction of skeletal muscles that increases energy expenditure. Several studies have found that good physical activity can lead to shorter sleep onset latency and time awake after sleep onset and longer total sleep time leading to an improved sleep quality. Therefore, good physical activity is needed so that students can be healthier and rarely feel sleepy so that learning can be more effective.
Methodology: This study uses a cross-sectional study design. The study was done on Medical Students at University of Pelita Harapan which was selected via the purposive sampling method. Sample obtained using the IPAQ and PSQI. The data is processed using the chi-square statistical analysis test and the SPSS 26.0 application.
Results: From 162 respondents, 2 respondents are excluded. Of 160 respondents which fulfil the inclusion criteria, 53 respondents have a low physical activity, 107 respondents have a medium-high physical activity, 65 respondents have a poor sleep quality, and 95 respondents have a good sleep quality. This study uses the Chi-Square test method and the p value = 0.017, which indicated there is a significant relationship.
Conclusion: This study has a p-value = 0.017 dan an OR value = 2,383 (95% CI = 1,215-4,673). Based on the p-value and the OR value, it can be concluded that moderate and high physical activity causes a better sleep quality in students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Pelita Harapan.
