Abstract
In the learning process, teachers have an important role as a motivator in increasing
students learning motivation. There are still many students who have less learning
motivation due to internal and external factors. Christian teachers must motivate
and guide students to walk in god's way and prepare the students to become persons
that ready to serve God and society. The purpose of this paper is to find out the role
of Christian teachers in gaining primary student learning motivation through
questioning strategy specifically passive students in primary school. The writer used
qualitative descriptive method to obtain data in the field. This paper concludes that
a Christian teachers have a very important role in motivating passive students to
increase their learning motivation to become active students. The advice in this
paper is that teachers need to recognize the students and the condition of the class
in order to determine the learning method that is in accordance with the character
of the students, further teacher can use creative approach such as the development
of problem solving, brain storming, inquiry, and role playing, or the future teacher
can collaborate on these strategies and approaches for the success of achieving
students to be active in the classroom. Besides that, further researchers can
interview the students directly to find out the causes of student inactivity, so that
future researchers have strong data in further research.
