Abstract
Sudirman merupakan kawasan perkantoran elit yang terletak di Jakarta. Citra sebagai kawasan elit terlihat dari perusahaan-perusahaan multinasional dan internasional yang berdiri megah di kawasan ini. Namun daerah Sudirman dan sekitarnya yang identik dengan gaya hidup perkantoran dan fashion yang glamor tersebut mulai berubah dengan munculnya Citayam Fashion Week. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui identitas sosial remaja SCBD yang terbentuk melalui fashion yang digunakan pada Citayam Fashion Week. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi untuk memperkuat informasi. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) Fashion memberikan makna sebagai emblem of the soul yaitu merupakan cara untuk menyampaikan atau mengkomunikasikan dirinya untuk menunjukkan identitasnya. (2) Fashion memberikan makna sebagai daily activity yaitu fashion yang digunakan adalah merupakan street wear atau street fashion yang merupakan daily activity. (3) Fashion memberikan makna sebagai bahasa (the language of fashion) yaitu fashion tidak hanya sebagai penutup badan, tetapi mereka menciptakan pesan dan makna seperti bahasa. (4) Fashion memberikan makna sebagai media komunikasi non-verbal. / Sudirman is an elite office area located in Jakarta. The image as an elite area can be seen from the multinational and international companies that stand majestically in this area. However, the Sudirman area and its surroundings, which are synonymous with the glamorous office and fashion lifestyle, began to change with the emergence of Citayam Fashion Week. The purpose of this research is to find out the social identity of SCBD youth which is formed through the fashion used at Citayam Fashion Week. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. In this study, researchers used in-depth interview techniques, and documentation to strengthen information. The results of the study can be concluded that (1) Fashion gives meaning as an emblem of the soul, which is a way to convey or communicate oneself to show one's identity. (2) Fashion gives meaning as a daily activity, namely the fashion used is street wear or street fashion which is a daily activity. (3) Fashion gives meaning as a language (the language of fashion), namely fashion is not only a cover for the body, but they create messages and meanings like language. (4) Fashion gives meaning as a medium of non-verbal communication.
