Penelitian terkini pada masyarakat di budaya Barat menunjukan bahwa diferensiasi diri dapat memengaruhi gambar diri individu. Mempertimbangkan bahwa perbedaan budaya mungkin dapat memengaruhi hasil ini, studi ini ingin melihat apakah diferensiasi diri berkorelasi dengan gambar diri pada pria metroseksual di Indonesia, yang sarat dengan nilai-nilai budaya kolektivisme. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan melibatkan 82 orang pria berusia 25-30. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi negatif antara diferensiasi diri dan gambar diri. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi diferensiasi diri pada pria metroseksual, semakin rendah persepsi gambar diri yang dimilikinya. / Recent research on societies in Western cultures shows that differentiation of self can influence an individual's body image. Considering that cultural differences might influence these results, this study wants to see whether differentiation of self is correlated with body image of metrosexual men in Indonesia, which is full of collectivism cultural values. This research was conducted using quantitative methods and involved 82 men aged 25-30. The results of the study show that there is a negative correlation between differentiation of self and body image. It can be concluded that the higher differentiation of self in metrosexual men, the lower body image perception they have.
