Abstract

Konstruksi jalan adalah salah satu pembangunan infrastruktur yang ditekankan di Indonesia. Dalam pembangunannya, dibutuhkan uji laboratorium untuk mencari kualitas dari aspal yang digunakan. Pada era yang modern ini, diperkenalkan metode elemen hingga atau Finite Element Method untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan teknik sipil yang ada. Permasalahan tersebut salah satunya adalah mencari stress dan strain dengan menggunakan metode Universal Testing Machine maupun Finite Element Method. Untuk mencari nilai stress dan strain pada Finite Element Method, dibutuhkan parameter dari material, loading, dan boundary condition yang telah diketahui. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua buah benda uji campuran aspal murni dan dua buah benda uji campuran aspal modifikasi polimer dengan bentuk Semi-Circular Bending (SCB). Setiap benda uji akan diberikan notch sebesar 15 mm dan 25 mm pada bagian tengah dari benda uji. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian UTM, dapat diketahui bahwa stress maksimum benda uji campuran murni dengan notch 15 mm dan 25 mm berturut-turut 0.21 Mpa dan 0.22 Mpa. Sedangkan pada benda uji campuran aspal modifikasi polimer dengan notch 15 mm dan 25 mm berturut-turut adalah 0.196 Mpa dan 0.24Mpa. Nilai strain pada benda uji campuran murni dengan notch 15 mm dan 25 mm berturut-turut adalah 0.060198 dan 0.056457. Sedangkan nilai strain pada benda uji campuran aspal modifikasi polimer dengan notch 15 mm dan 25 mm berturut-turut adalah 0.057257 dan 0.043072. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian FEM, dapat diketahui bahwa perbedaan hasil stress dengan E slope dan E UPV berturut-turut sebesar 49.12% dan 193294.63%./Road construction is one of the emphasized infrastructure developments in Indonesia. In its construction, laboratory tests are needed to determine the quality of the bitumen used. However, the finite element method was introduced to solve existing civil engineering problems in this modern era. One of these problems is looking for stress and strain using the Universal Testing Machine and the Finite Element Method. It takes parameters from known materials, loadings, and boundary conditions to find the stress and strain values in the Finite Element Method. This study used two samples of pure asphalt mixture and two specimens of polymer-modified asphalt mixture with SCB form. Each test object will be given a notch of 15 mm and 25 mm in the center of the test object. Based on the results of the UTM test, it can be seen that the maximum stress of pure mixed specimens with a notch of 15 mm and 25 mm is 0.21 Mpa and 0.22Mpa, respectively. The polymer-modified asphalt mixture test specimens with notches of 15 mm and 25 mm were 0.196 Mpa and 0.24 Mpa, respectively. The strain values on pure mixed specimens with notches of 15 mm and 25 mm were 0.060198 and 0.056457, respectively. While the strain values on the polymer-modified asphalt mixture test specimens with notches of 15 mm and 25 mm were 0.057257 and 0.043072, respectively. Based on the results of the FEM test, it can be seen that the differences of stresses with E Slope and E UPV were 49.12% and 193294.63% respectively.
