Abstract

Abstrak— Di abad ke 21, pria dan wanita memiliki status yang sama hampir dalam semua bidang, meskipun hal ini belum terjadi merata di seluruh Indonesia. Sekalipun secara kedudukan pria dan wanita sudah hampir sama, tetapi tetap ada perbedaan, seperti perbedaan dalam karakteristik secara fisik maupun psikologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan tingkat differentiation of self berdasarkan jenis kelamin (pria & wanita) pada mahasiswa (usia 18-25 tahun) di Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, & Bekasi), Indonesia. Differentiation of Self merupakan sebuah kapasitas intrapersonal dan interpersonal seorang individu dalam dalam menjalin relasi. Hasil data yang diperoleh memiliki data yang normal (p = 0.12) dan hasil uji beda dari data yang diperoleh yaitu tidak adanya perbedaan yang signifikan dalam tingkat differentiation of self yang dimiliki antara Wanita dan pria (p = .95 > .05). /Abstract— In the 21st century, men and women have the same status in almost all fields, although this has not been the case across Indonesia. Even though the position of men and women is almost equal, there are still differences such as differences in physical and psychological characteristics. This study aims to identify differences in the level of differentiation of self based on gender (male & female) among college students (age 18-25 years) in Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, & Bekasi), Indonesia. Differentiation of Self is an intrapersonal and interpersonal capacity of an individual in establishing relationships. The results of the data obtained have normal data (p = 0.12) and the results of the different test of the data obtained, indicate there is no significant difference in the level of differentiation of self between women and men (p = .95 > .05).
