Abstract

Dengan perkembangan teknologi yang begitu pesat, Instagram menjadi salah satu platform media sosial yang sedang ramai diperbincangkan dan dipergunakan untuk mencari informasi. “Folkative” menjadi salah satu akun media alternatif yang menyajikan begitu banyak informasi dan berita menarik lewat Instagram, ada banyak anak-anak dari kaum generasi Z yang lebih tertarik mencari informasi lewat sosial media. Akun Instagram “Folkative” sudah mencapai 3,9 juta pengikut, peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti tentang bagaimana startegi pembuatan konten yang dilakukan oleh “Folkative” dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi sehingga dapat mencapai jumlah pengikut yang sangat banyak. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori media baru yang dikemukakan oleh (Wright & Webb, 2011) mengenai Computer Mediated Communication dalam hal ini terdapat 7 karakteristik CMC yaitu, Sinkronitas Anonimitas, Kustomisasi, Interaktivitas, Kehadiran sosial, Banyaknya pengguna dan Homogenitas. Dari hasil analisis penelitian yang dilakukan akhirnya menjawab bahwa “Folkative” menerapkan 3 karakteristik CMC dalam melakukan strategi pembuatan konten, antara lainnya ada Anonimitas, Kustomisai, dan Interaktivitas. “Folkative” selalu memuat berita dan informasi terkini setiap harinya, hal ini membuat para followers- nya merasa bahwa “Folkative” dapat memenuhi kebutuhan hariannya. Selain itu juga “Folkative” juga menciptakan ciri khasnya sendiri dalam bentuk penyajian berita maupun informasi, agar khalayak dapat mengenal “Folkative” hanya melalui postingan konten yang disajikan. “Folkative” pun selalu berusaha untuk menciptakan komunikasi dua arah dengan para followers, dengan cara membalas komentar-komentar yang diberikan/ With the rapid development of technology, Instagram has become one of the social media platforms that is being discussed and used to find information. "Folkative" is one of the alternative media accounts that presents so much information and interesting news through Instagram, there are many children of generation Z who are more interested in finding information through social media. The "Folkative" Instagram account has reached 3.9 million followers, researchers are interested in researching how the strategy of content creation carried out by "Folkative" in meeting information needs so that it can reach a very large number of followers. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach method and analyzed using new media theories proposed by (Wright & Webb, 2011)Computer Mediated Communication in this case there are 7 characteristics of CMC, namely, Synchronicity of Anonymity, Customization, Interactivity, Social presence, Number of users and Homogeneity. From the results of the research analysis conducted, it finally answered that "Folkative" applies 3 characteristics of CMC in carrying out content creation strategies, including Anonymity, Customization, and Interactivity. "Folkative" always contains the latest news and information every day, this makes his followers feel that "Folkative" can meet their daily needs. In addition, "Folkative" also creates its own characteristics in the form of presenting news and information, so that the audience can get to know "Folkative" only through posting the content presented. "Folkative" also always tries to create two- way communication with followers, by replying to comments given
