Abstract

Genzo Café, Medan experienced a decline in employee performance that can be seen from the absenteeism data and online reviews this was suspected due to reward and work environment. This research aims to investigate whether reward and work environment influences employee performance at Genzo Café, Medan. Reward and work environment has an important role in shaping employee performance. Reward and work environment are highly connected with employee performance and company profitability. In this research, the writer used a quantitative research design and IBM SPSS statistics V.26. The writer used a descriptive and causal approach. The sampling technique used was census sampling. The population and sample size were 31 employees at Genzo Café, Medan. The results of the hypothesis test showed that reward and work environment influence employee performance, either partially or simultaneously. Furthermore, rewards and work environment have a 53.4% influence on employee performance. This research also passed the validity test, reliability test, normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and multiple linear regression test and the equation is Y = 1.470 + 0.852 X1 + 0.345 X2+ e. Recommendations for Genzo Café, Medan include setting a more organized and clear bonus system, beautifying the decor and ensuring neatness to make it look comfortable at work, recruiting more employees so that cleanliness in the Genzo Café can be maintained properly, and facilitating cleaning crew for their needs. / Genzo Café, Medan mengalami penurunan kinerja karyawan yang dapat dilihat dari data ketidakhadiran karyawan dan komentar secara online akibat penghargaan dan lingkungan kerja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penghargaan dan lingkungan kerja memiliki pengaruh parsial dan simultan terhadap kinerja karyawan di Genzo Café, Medan. Penghargaan dan lingkungan kerja memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk kinerja karyawan. Penghargaan dan lingkungan kerja sangat terkait dengan kinerja karyawan dan profitabilitas perusahaan. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif dan IBM SPSS statistics V. 26. Penulis menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dan kausal. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah sampel sensus. Populasi dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 31 orang karyawan di Genzo Café, Medan. Hasil uji hipotesis, penghargaan dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan, baik parsial maupun simultan. Selain itu, penghargaan dan lingkungan kerja memiliki pengaruh sebesar 53.4% terhadap kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini juga lolos uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, uji multikolinieritas, uji heteroskedastisitas, uji regresi linier berganda dan persamaan Y = 1,470 + 0,852 x1+ 0,345 x2 + e. Rekomendasi untuk Genzo Café, Medan termasuk mengatur sistem bonus yang lebih terorganisir dan jelas. Kemudian memperindah dekorasi dan memastikan kerapian agar terlihat nyaman dalam bekerja dan meningkatkan rekrutmen lebih banyak karyawan sehingga kebersihan di Genzo Café, Medan dapat terjaga dengan baik dan menambah fasilitas kerja untuk karyawan kebersihan sesuai dengan kebutuhan mereka.
