Abstract
Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan yang dilakukan saat peneliti mengajar, dan hasil identifikasi masalah menunjukkan rendahnya kedisiplinan siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar Kristen Tunas Kasih Tarakan saat mengikuti kegiatan belajar mengajar. Terlihat 15 dari 31 orang siswa tidak menaati peraturan kelas seperti, tidak meminta izin sebelum berbicara dan sebelum meninggalkan tempat duduknya, terlambat masuk ke dalam kelas dan terlambat mengumpulkan tugas, memainkan barang-barang dan berbicara dengan temannya. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti menerapkan konsekuensi positif untuk menangani masalah perilaku tersebut. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar Kristen Tunas Kasih Tarakan dan mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah penerapan konsekuensi positif untuk meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Pelton. Penelitian ini dimulai sejak tanggal 5 September – 18 Oktober 2018, dilaksanakan dengan 2 kali penerapan tindakan yang melibatkan 31 siswa. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi checklist, umpan balik, jurnal refleksi, dan RPP. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kedisiplinan siswa dengan persentase 84.7% pada penerapan tindakan 1, meningkat menjadi 97% pada penerapan tindakan 2. Oleh sebab itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kedisiplinan siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui penerapan konsekuensi poitif yang dilakukan secara konsisten. /Based on the observation result which conducted when the researcher was teaching and supported by the issue identification, it is shown that grade II students’ discipline in Tunas Kasih Tarakan Cristian Elementary School was low. 15 out of 31 students did not obey the classroom procedures such as, speaking and leaving their seats without permission, coming late to the class and not collecting assignments on time, playing stuff and talking with their friends. Therefore, the researcher applied positive consequences to improve students’ discipline in the classroom. The purpose of this research is to improve the grade II students’ discipline and to show how to improve students’ discipline through the implementation of positive consequences. The research method used in this research is classroom action research by Pelton’s model. The research began on September 5 - October 18, 2018, conducted on 2 meetings involving 31 students. The instrument used were observation checklist sheet, feedback, journal reflections, and lesson plans. The data analysis used is qualitative descriptive analyzysis tehniques. The results of the data analysis show that every indicator of students’ discipline was increased with the percentage of 84,7% in the first implementation and increasing to 97% in the second implementation. Therefore, it can be concluded that students’ discipline can be improved through the implementation of positive consequences.
