Abstract
Sustainable construction will not be separated from sustainable development.
Sustainable development is development to meet the needs of the present generation without
compromising future generations in meeting their future needs. Referring to the Regulation of
the Minister of PUPR No. 9/2021 article 1 where Sustainable Construction is an approach
in carrying out a series of activities needed to create a physical facility that meets
economic, social, and environmental goals at this time and in the future.Waste processing
with the construction of LM (Landfill Mining) and RDF (Refused Derived Fuel) Plant
facilities is one of the solutions related to waste processing that is closely related to
sustainable development which is agreed as a development that meets the needs of the present
without compromising the right to meet the needs of future generations. This research was
conducted by a descriptive analysis method of data collection consisting of primary data and
secondary data. The primary data in this study was obtained from the results of
questionnaires and interviews of Construction experts in Indonesia and also to
construction experts involved in the project "Construction of LM (Landfill Mining) and
RDF (Refused Derived Fuel) Plant Bantar Gebang-Bekasi" projects. The scope that will be
explored in depth from expert interviews is devoted to the sustainable construction of the
project. Secondary data are related literature related to continuous construction and
review of the collected literature. From the various literature collected and reviewed will be
summarized criteria relating to sustainable construction. In the data analysis, the
identification of sustainable construction criteria / variables was carried out using the
Delphi method where the determination of variables / criteria that affect the sustainability of
construction was obtained from literature studies and then validated by experts. The findings
in this study will refer to criteria related to sustainable construction. The application of
criteria related to sustainable construction on the project "Construction of LM (Landfill
Mining) and RDF (Refused Derived Fuel) Plant Bantar Gebang-Bekasi" projects has been
implemented thoroughly but there are still some criteria (sub-criteria) that have not been
implemented. Based on the results of the full screening text of the 25 articles collected, 69
sub-criteria of continuous construction discussed were classified into 7 criteria.
Overall, several criteria are recommendations in this study in the implementation of
sustainable construction, namely management criteria, educational criteria and policy and
regulatory criteria. These three criteria are recommendations for amendments to applicable
laws and regulations related to the implementation of sustainable construction.
