Abstract
Hasil belajar kognitif murid pada mata pelajaran Matematika kelas VI di salah satu sekolah Kristen di Manado rendah dan tidak mencapai KKM yang ditentukan sekolah. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah penggunaan metode pembelajaran. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, akan diterapkan metode Student Team Achievement Division untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif murid pada mata pelajaran matematika dan mengetahui langkah-langkah penerapan metode tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Robert P. Pelton. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu sekolah Kristen di Manado dengan subyek penelitian murid kelas VI pada tanggal 18 September 2018 sampai 30 Oktober 2018. Instrumen yang digunakan antara lain lembar tes, jurnal refleksi, umpan balik guru mentor dan RPP. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode Student Team Achievement Division dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif murid kelas VI sebanyak 68,75% siswa lulus KKM. Selain itu, langkah – langkah metode Student Team Achievement Division yang dilakukan: pengajaran, tim studi, tes individu, dan rekognisi tim. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Student Team Achievement Division dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif murid dengan memperhatikan langkah-langkah penerapannya dengan tepat. / Cognitive achievement of students in Mathematics grade VI at one of the Christian School in Manado is low and does not achieved Minimum Achievement Criteria (MCA). One of the contributing factors is the use of the learning method. To solve the problem, Student team achievement division methods will be applied to improve the students cognitive learning in math, also to know the implementation steps of Student team achievement division method to improve the students cognitive learning in math. Method that used in this research is Class Action Research (CAR) Robert P. Pelton models. The research was held at one of the Christian School in Manado at 18 September 2018 until 30 October 2018, the subjects is grade VI students. Instrument that used is test sheets, lesson plan, mentor feedback and reflection journal. The result from this research is showed that Student Team Achievement Division method could increase the students cognitive learning in grade VI for 68,75% students had passed the MCA. Moreover, steps of this method that had done: teachers presentation, students team study, individual test, and team recognition. So that, can be concluded that Student Team Achievement Division method can improve students cognitive learning in math outcomes with do the steps with proper implementation.
