Konstruksi anjungan lepas pantai memiliki perbedaan dengan konstruksi bangunan pada umumnya di mana anjungan tersebut dilakukan di tempat yang berbeda dengan lokasi di mana anjungan tersebut akan beroperasi. Konstruksi anjungan lepas pantai juga memiliki risiko sebagaimana proyek konstruksi pada umumnya. Salah satu risiko tersebut adalah terjadinya pemborosan biaya akibat adanya waste berupa surplus material konstruksi. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan upaya pengendalian untuk mencegah hal tersebut. Upaya tersebut dilakukan dengan melakukan penelitian dalam mengidentifikasi risiko penyebab terjadinya surplus material pada proyek anjungan lepas pantai PT XYZ. Penelitian dilakukan melalui kajian pustaka dari penelitian pada proyek lain, wawancara pakar dan responden yang terlibat dalam proyek konstruksi anjungan lepas pantai. Hasil survey dari responden tersebut kemudian dianalisamenggunakan program statistik SPSS untuk mendapatkan faktor dan variabel penyebab terjadinya waste material. Dari analisa didapatkan lima faktor dan sepuluh variabel penyebab terjadinya surplus material konstruksi anjungan lepas pantai. Penerapan metode kerja, pengukuran di lapangan yang tidak akurat serta kurangnya pelatihan bagi pekerjamenjadi tiga variabel teratas penyebab terjadinya waste material. Setelah mendapatkan hasil tersebut kemudian dicari mitigasi dari pakar yang efektif untuk mengurangi risiko surplus material pada proyek anjungan lepas pantai seperti menggunakan alat potong teknologi tinggi berbasis software, memperhatikan kemampuan pekerja pada setiap pekerjaan dan memberikan pengarahan dan atau tool box meeting setiap sebelum melakukan pekerjaan. / The construction of offshore platforms is different from the construction of land base buildings in general, in that the platforms are carried out at a different place from the location where the platforms will operate. Offshore platform construction also has risks like any construction project in general. One of these risks is the occurrence of wasted costs due to waste in the form of surplus construction materials. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out control efforts to prevent this. This effort is carried out by conducting research to identify the risks that cause a surplus of material at the PT XYZ offshore platform project. The research was carried out through a literature review of research on other projects, interviews of experts and respondents involved in offshore platform construction projects. The survey results from these respondents were then analyzed using the SPSS statistical program to obtain the factors and variables that cause waste material. From the analysis, it is found that five factors and ten variables cause a surplus of offshore construction material. The application of work methods, inaccurate measurements in the field and lack of training for workers are the top three variables that cause waste material.After obtaining these results, effective mitigation is sought from experts to reduce the risk of material surplus in offshore platform projects such as using software-based high-tech cutting tools, paying attention to the ability of workers in each job and providing briefings and or tool box meetings before each work.
