Abstract

Penelitian ini berdasarkan hasil observasi peneliti pada kelas VI A di Sekolah Palembang Harapan. Ditemukan kurangnya perilaku hormat siswa kepada guru dan teman lainnya selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Untuk meningkatkan perilaku hormat siswa dalam memperhatikan dan mendengarkan penjelasan guru maupun siswa lainnya, peneliti menerapkan Penguatan Positif di dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penerapan penguatan positif ini adalah dapat meningkatkan perilaku hormat siswa kelas VI A. Model penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) menurut Robert Pelton yang dilaksanakan dengan pemberian dua kali tindakan mulai dari 24 September 2018 – 25 September 2018, dengan subjek penelitian 26 orang siswa. Hasil data penelitian diperoleh dari RPP, lembar umpan balik mentor, checklist pelanggaran kriteria indikator, checklist pemberian penguatan positif, wawancara guru mentor, dan jurnal refleksi. Pada penerapan I, perilaku hormat siswa mencapai 91,03% dari siswa. Sedangkan, pada penerapan II mencapai 94,87%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan penguatan positif dapat meningkatkan perilaku hormat siswa kelas VI A di sekolah Palembang Harapan. /This research was based on the observation result that had been done toward grade VI A students in Sekolah Palembang Harapan. The researcher found out that the students were lack of respect both toward the teachers and the other students during the learning process. The researcher implemented a positive reinforcement during the learning process to enhance students’ respectful behavior in paying attention and listening to the teacher’s explanation or other student. The aim from the implementation of positive reinforcement is to enhance students’ respectful behavior in grade VI A. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). According to Robert Pelton, Classroom Action Research is conducted by providing two actions during the learning process. The research was conducted in September 24 - 25, 2018. The research subjects were 26 students from grade VI A. The result of the research was based on lesson plans, mentor teacher’s feedback, indicator criteria of misbehavior checklist, positive reinforcement checklist, mentor teacher’s interview, and reflection journal. On the first implementation, students’ respectful behavior was 91,03%, while in the second implementation students’ respectful behavior is increasing became 94,87%. Based on the result, the researcher conclude that the implementation of positive reinforcement could enhance grade VI A students’ respectful behavior in Sekolah Palembang Harapan.
