Abstract
Proses pembelajaran akan berjalan secara efektif apabila siswa dapat mengikuti pembelajaran secara aktif. Keaktifan belajar siswa merupakan keikutsertaan siswa untuk berperan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Faktanya, setelah melakukan pengamatan secara bertahap peneliti menemukan bahwa sebagian besar siswa bersikap pasif dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Sebagai solusi dari kesenjangan ini, peneliti menerapkan metode Numbered Heads Together (NHT) sebagai tindakan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui apakah implementasi metode Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa kelas XI MIPA pada mata pelajaran ekonomi di salah satu sekolah Kristen di Ambon. Model penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dikemukakan oleh Pelton. Penelitian dilakukan sejak 13 Agustus 2018 – 10 Oktober 2018. Subyek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA di salah satu sekolah Kristen di Ambon dengan jumlah 29 siswa, diantaranya 17 perempuan dan 12 laki-laki. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP), umpan balik mentor/teman sejawat, jurnal refleksi, dan lembar observasi. Adapun hasil dari implementasi metode Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari setiap indikator yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meningkat melalui langkah-langkah metode NHT yaitu: 1) pembentukan kelompok secara heterogen; 2) pemberian nomor kepada setiap kelompok; 3) guru memberikan pertanyaan; 4) setiap kelompok menyatukan kepalanya untuk menentukan jawaban; 5) guru memanggil nomor secara acak; 6) nomor yang dipanggil memberikan jawaban kepada seluruh kelas./ Learning process will run effectively if the students can follow the learning process actively. The activeness of students is the students’ participation to be active in learning process. In fact, after doing the observation gradually, the researcher found that most of the students are passive in following the learning. As the solutions in this gap, the researcher applied Numbered Heads Together (NHT) method as the action to improve the activeness of students learning. The aim of this research is to know that did the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) method improve the activeness of students learning in grade XI MIPA (Science) on Economic lesson in on of Christian school in Ambon. The research model used in this study is the Class Action Research (CAR) proposed by Pelton. This research was done since 13 August 2018 – 10 October 2018. The subjects of this research were the students of grade XI Science in one of Christian school in Ambon with amount of 29 students, including 17 women and 12 men. The data resource used in this research were Lesson Plan, mentor/peers feedback, journal reflection, and observation paper. The result of the implementation of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) method may improve the activeness of students learning. It can be seen from each indicator that used in this research improving through the NHT method steps, there are 1) heterogeneous group formation; 2) giving number to each group; 3) teacher gives questions; 4) every group should have the same idea to determine the answers; 5) teacher takes numbers of group randomly 6) the chosen number will give answer to the whole class.
