Abstract

Konsentrasi belajar siswa merupakan salah satu faktor yang sangat penting saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Konsentrasi saat pembelajaran membantu siswa supaya tetap mengikuti pembelajaran dengan baik. Hal ini juga menjadi sangat penting karena dalam proses pembelajaran dibutuhkan interaksi aktif antara guru dan siswa untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang diharapkan. Fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa siswa kurang berkonsentrasi saat pembelajaran seperti tidak memperhatikan penjelasan guru, melakukan aktivitas lain di luar pembelajaran seperti menggambar dan mengobrol dengan teman. berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar belajar siswa kelas VIII pada mata pelajaran IPA dan untuk menjelaskan langkah-langkah penerapan metode Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dapat meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar siswa kelas VIII pada mata pelajaran IPA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan peneliti adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dikemukakan oleh Robert P. Pelton. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 24 Oktober 2018 hingga 31 Oktober 2018 yang melibatkan 26 siswa/i kelas VIII. Data diperoleh melalui lembar observasi guru mentor, angket siswa, dan jurnal refleksi. Hasil penelitian penerapan metode NHT dalam meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar siswa dari penerapan pertama ke penerapan kedua berdasarkan lembar ceklis mentor diperoleh indikator 1 sebesar 57,69% menjadi 65,38%, indikator 2 sebesar 46,15% menjadi 53,18%, indikator 3 sebesar 88,46% menjadi 100%. BErdasarkan anget siswa pada indikator pertama yaitu 46,79% meningkat menjadi 52,56%, indikator kedua sebesar 67,94% meningkat menjadi 79,84%, indikator ketiga 73,07% meningkat menjadi 82,69%. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Number Heads Together (NHT) dapat meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar siswa. /Students’ learning concentration is one of the most important factors when the learning process takes place. Concentration when learning helps students to keep learning well. This also becomes very important because in the learning process it takes active interaction between the teacher and students to achieve the expected learning goals. Facts on the ground indicate that students lack concentration when learning such as not paying attention to the teacher's explanation, doing other activities outside of learning such as drawing and chatting with friends. Based on this, the purpose of this research was to improve grade VIII students’ learning concentration in science subject and to explain the steps to implement the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) method can grade VIII students’ learning concentration in science subject. The research method used by researchers is Class Action Research (CAR) which was proposed by Robert P. Pelton. This research was conducted on October 24, 2018 until October 31, 2018 involving 26 students of class VIII. Data were obtained through teacher mentor observation sheets, student questionnaires, and reflection journals. The results of the study applying the NHT method in increasing student learning concentration from the first application to the second application based on the mentor checklist obtained indicator 1 of 57.69% to 65.38%, indicator 2 of 46.15% to 53.18%, indicator 3 of 88.46% to 100%. Based on the student budget in the first indicator, which is 46.79%, it increases to 52.56%, the second indicator is 67.94%, increasing to 79.84%, the third indicator 73.07%, increasing to 82.69%. Based on the research conducted it can be concluded that the Number Heads Together (NHT) method can increase Students’ learning concentration.
