Genshin Impact is classified as a role-playing game and an action-adventure game that employs extensive worldbuilding and lore to create a complex game world. To balance the story presentation and lore in Genshin Impact, the game also emphasizes environmental storytelling in order to create the open world environment. Environmental storytelling involves visual representations of an environment that conveys narrative by involving narrative elements. This research aims to analyse and evaluate the selection of musical elements to create the Genshin Impact's world that matches the various representations of culture, environment, and content. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis. As a result of the in-depth analysis, the author identifies that the composer uses traditional instruments to show the cultural diversity in each region and to distinguish each environment. Each region has a main song that is performed by a full orchestra. The main song is used by the composer to create other songs which describe other environments within the same region by developing the motives with several compositional techniques. However, the composer did not have certain instrumentation guidelines to clearly state the time system in Genshin Impact.
