Abstract
Terapi Snoezelen atau Lingkungan Multisensori merupakan suatu terapi yang menggunakan pendekatan multisensori dan menyediakan rangsangan visual, auditori, kinestetik, taktil, dan olfaktori di dalam suatu ruangan khusus yang dirancang untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang santai dan berstimulasi. Terapi multisensori dikembangkan untuk memberikan sumber relaksasi bagi penderita ketidakmampuan belajar tanpa adanya tujuan ataupun tugas khusus yang harus diselesaikan, sehingga individu dapat mengontrol dan mengeksplorasi stimulasi di sekitarnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi kasus untuk mempelajari relasi antara ruang multisensori dengan terapi Snoezelen pada penderita ketidakmampuan belajar. Dalam penelitian ini, terbukti bahwa ruang Snoezelen dapat mengstimulasi indera visual, auditori, kinestetik, taktil, dan olfaktori untuk pasien dengan disabilitas mental. Stimulasi multisensori memberikan sensasi yang tenang dan menyenangkan, sehingga pasien dapat beraktivitas di dalam ruang Snoezelen tanpa merasa beban ataupun stres dan merasa lebih percaya diri saat berinteraksi dengan hal yang baru. Terapi Snoezelen yang dilakukan di Pelangi Insani telah memberikan kemajuan perilaku yang signifikan pada pasien, dan pasien serta keluarga merasa puas dan senang dengan terapi ini. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ruang multisensori dapat dianggap sebagai sebuah terapi yang efektif dan valid untuk penderita ketidakmampuan belajar.

Snoezelen therapy, or Multisensory Environment, is a therapy that uses a multisensory approach and provides visual, auditory, kinesthetic, tactile, and olfactory stimulation in a specially designed room that creates a relaxed and stimulating environment. Multisensory therapy was developed to provide a source of relaxation for individuals with learning disabilities without specific goals or tasks to be completed, so that individuals can control and explore the stimulation around them. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study to examine the relationship between the multisensory environment and Snoezelen therapy in individuals with learning disabilities. In this study, it is proven that the Snoezelen room can stimulate the visual, auditory, kinesthetic, tactile, and olfactory senses for patients with mental disabilities. Multisensory stimulation provides a calm and pleasant sensation, so that patients can engage in activities in the Snoezelen room without feeling burdened or stressed and feel more confident when interacting with new things. Snoezelen therapy performed at Pelangi Insani has provided significant behavioral progress in patients, and patients and families are satisfied and happy with this therapy. Therefore, it can be concluded that the multisensory room can be considered an effective and valid therapy for individuals with learning disabilities.
