Abstract
Berdasarkan pengamatan, perilaku siswa kelas X IPA Basic mengindikasikan
adanya penyimpangan konsep diri akademik. Siswa sering menghubungkan
kesulitan memahami materi dengan tingkat kelas (basic). Teori mengatakan
konsep diri akademik memiliki korelasi yang kuat dengan prestasi belajar. Akan
tetapi data nilai rapor tengah semester menunjukkan tidak ada masalah yang
signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mencari
tahu pengaruh konsep diri akademik terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas X
tingkat basic pada pembelajaran Kimia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah
metode kuantitatif korelasional. Berdasarkan analisis korelasi dan regresi untuk
prestasi belajar kognitif dan psikomotorik sebagai variabel terikat, diperoleh
koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,308 (>0,05), nilai signifikansi 3,29 (>1,98), koefisien
determinasi sebesar 9,49% dan persamaan regresi Y‟=58,527+0,473X. Sementara
itu, berdasarkan analisis korelasi untuk prestasi belajar afektif sebagai variabel
terikat, diperoleh koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,239 (>0,05) , nilai signifikansi 2,57
(>1,98) dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 5,71%. Hasil yang diperoleh
menunjukkan adanya pengaruh konsep diri akademik yang positif dan signifikan
terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas X IPA Basic ABC College pada
pembelajaran Kimia. / Based on observation, the behaviour of students indicated the deviation of
academic self concept. The students always connected their difficulties on
understanding with their class level (basic). Theories said that there is a strong
correlation between academic self concept and learning achievement. But, the
score of students mid semester report does not show any significant problem of
student learning achievement. This research done for finding out the effect of self
concept academic on grade X basic level students‟ learning achievement in
Chemistry. Research method that used is quantitative correlational method. Based
on correlation and regression analysis, for cognitive and psychomotor learning
achievement as independent variable, obtained correlation coefficient 0,308
(>0,05), significant value 3,29 (>1,98), determinant coefficient 9,49% and
regression equation is Y‟=58,527+0,473X. Meanwhile, based on correlational
analysis for affective learning, obtained correlation coefficient 2,57 (>1,98) and
determinant coefficient 5,71%. The results show that there is positive and
significant effect of academic self concept on learning achievement of grade X
Science basic students at ABC College in Chemistry.
