Abstract
Masuknya globalisasi ke indonesia memperkenalkan beraneka ragam budaya baru kepada masyarakat. Namun penting bagi masyarakat Indonesia untuk tetap menjaga dan melestarikan budaya sendiri, salah satunya adalah budaya kuliner. Kuliner merupakan kekayaan budaya Indonesia yang patut untuk dibanggakan dan dilestarikan, salah satunya jajanan pasar. Salah satu upaya dalam menjaga budaya kuliner di Indonesia ialah melalui generasi muda. Video game dapat dijadikan sarana untuk memperkenalkan kembali kuliner Indonesia kepada generasi muda dengan menggunakan jajanan pasar sebagai tema utamanya. Dengan demikian, proyek akhir ini merupakan desain konsep visual karakter antropomorfik berdasarkan hewan-hewan yang ada di Indonesia dan properti berupa makanan jajanan pasar. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan melalui studi pustaka dan studi wawancara. Data diperoleh dari web, jurnal akademik, buku, dan wawancara lisan kepada dua orang pedagang jajanan pasar di pasar Petojo Ilir.Hasil dari proyek akhir ialah perancangan desain karakter dan properti untuk permainan “Waroeng si Oyen”. Perancangan desain latar terdiri dari 8 desain antropomorfik hewan-hewan yang berada di Indonesia dan 26 buah desain properti makanan yang dibuat berdasarkan jajanan pasar. Semua desain dirancang berdasarkan keyword cute dan heartwarming mulai dari bentuk desainnya hingga pemilihan warnanya. / Globalization in Indonesia has introduced a variety of new cultures into Indonesian society. However, it is important for Indonesians to preserve their own culture, one of which is culinary. Indonesians should be proud of the diverse cuisines that Indonesia has. Culinary, one of Indonesia's cultural pride, also consists of market snacks. One of the efforts to maintain culinary culture in Indonesia is through the younger generation. Video games can be used as a means to reintroduce Indonesian culinary delights to the younger generation by using traditional snacks as the main theme.
Thus, this final project uses visual concept design of anthropomorphic characters based on animals in Indonesia and properties in the form of market snacks.Data collection was carried out through literature studies and interview studies. The data were obtained from the web, academic journals, books, and interviews with two street vendors in the Petoio market.The result of the project: the design of the character and property designs for the game "Waroeng, si Oyen". The background designs consist of 8 anthropomorphic designs: animals in Indonesia and 26 food property designs based on market snacks. All designs are designed based on the keywords cute and heartwarming, starting from the shape, the design, to the color selection.
