Abstract

Surabaya dikenal sebagai kota yang kaya akan keberagaman suku, adat, dan budaya. Salah satu hal yang dibanggakan dari Kota Surabaya adalah kuliner atau masakannya, tetapi beberapa kuliner ini masih belum banyak dikenal ataupun diminati oleh masyarakat luas, terutama oleh generasi muda. Adhicipta Wirawan beserta timnya berusaha untuk memperkenalkan kuliner Surabaya ini dengan menciptakan permainan kartu yang berjudul Waroong Wars. Waroong Wars merupakan salah satu permainan dengan tema kuliner Indonesia, khususnya kuliner Jawa Timur yang mengambil inspirasi dari warung sebagai kebiasaan kuliner dari masyarakat Jawa. Dengan adanya perkembangan teknologi yang semakin canggih, banyaknya permainan kartu dan papan yang diadaptasi menjadi permainan berbasis digital dengan tujuan agar akses lebih luas serta mengembangkan komponen dan memperjelas mekanisme permainan. Salah satu bentuk permainan digital yang cukup populer yaitu permainan mobile yang dapat dimainkan dengan ponsel. Dalam laporan ini akan membahas perancangan ulang visual permainan kartu Waroong Wars yang diadaptasi ke dalam bentuk permainan mobile. Metode yang dilakukan dalam perancangan ini meliputi pengumpulan dan analisis data, perancangan visual, serta produksi dan implementasi yang berakar dari metodologi Bruce Hanington dan Bella Martin. Hasil akhir dari perancangan ini berupa komponen visual dan tampilan antarmuka permainan mobile Waroong Wars yang kemudian akan didukung dengan video pratinjau konsep permainan tersebut./ Surabaya is known for its richness in ethnic and cultures. One of the things that the city of Surabaya is proud of is its culinary, but some of the culinary delights are still not widely known or in demand by the wider community, especially the younger generation. Adhicipta Wirawan and his team are trying to introduce Surabaya culinary by creating a card game called Waroong Wars. Waroong Wars is a game with Indonesian culinary theme, specifically the East Javanese culinary which takes inspiration from warungs as a culinary habit of the Javanese. With the development of technology, many card and board games have been adapted into digital based games, one of which is mobile game. The aim is to make them easier to access, and also to develop game component and sharpen its mechanic. This paper will discuss the visual redesign of Waroong Wars card game which is adapted into mobile game. The methods used in the design includes data collection and analysis, visual design, as well as production and implementation which are rooted from the methodology of Bruce Hanington and Bella Martin. The end result is in the form of visual component and user interface display of Waroong Wars mobile game which will then supported by a preview video of the game concept.
