Abstract

Orangtua merupakan pemeran utama dalam mengasuh dan mendidik anaknya. Dalam menjalankan tanggung jawabnya mendidik anak, orangtua memerlukan mitra yaitu guru di sekolah yang turut membina anak. Bukanlah hal yang mudah untuk mendidik dan mengasuh anak khususnya anak dengan kebutuhan khusus. Orangtua perlu mengetahui ciri anak dengan kebutuhan khusus agar dapat melakukan deteksi awal terhadap tumbuh kembang anaknya. Keterlibatan orangtua dalam mendidik dan mendampingi anak mempunyai peran yang sangat besar dalam pembentukan perilaku anak dengan kebutuhan khusus. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran tentang keterlibatan orangtua dalam mendidik anak dengan kebutuhan khusus. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Peneliti mengumpulkan data dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 40 responden yang merupakan orangtua anak dengan kebutuhan khusus. Data diolah menggunakan SPSS. Dari hasil penelitian dapat dilihat gambaran keterlibatan orangtua dalam mendidik anak dengan kebutuhan khusus. / Parents are the main role in raising and educating their children. In carrying out their responsibilities in educating their children, parents need partners, that is teachers at schools who also develop their children. It is not easy to educate and raise children, especially children with special needs. Parents need to know the characteristics of children with special needs so they can early detect their child's growth and development. Parental involvement in educating and accompanying children has a very large role in shaping the behavior of their children with special needs. This study provides an overview of parental involvement in educating children with special needs. This research used descriptive quantitative methods. Researcher collected data by distributing questionnaires to 40 respondents who are parents of children with special needs. Data is processed using SPSS. From the results of the study it can be seen that there is parental involvement in educating children with special needs.
