Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peranan guru dalam dunia
pendidikan. Tugas utama seorang guru pada dasarnya ialah mengajar. Oleh sebab
itu, seorang guru penting untuk memperlengkapi diri dengan kompetensi dan
keterampilan-keterampilan tertentu untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang
bermakna sehingga termotivasi untuk belajar dan akan mencintai ilmu tersebut
dengan sendirinya. Guru yang memiliki kompetensi dan keterampilan mengajar
yang baik akan berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar siswa sehingga siswa lebih
bertanggungjawab untuk memaksimalkan proses belajar dan pada akhirnya
memperoleh hasil belajar yang terbaik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk
mengetahui adanya hubungan antara keterampilan dasar mengajar mahasiswa guru
dengan motivasi belajar siswa serta mengetahui signifikansi hubungannya.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif desain korelasinal dengan
taraf signikansi 0.05. Uji koefisien korelasi Spearman Rank dan Program SPSS
digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Jumlah populasi penelitian ini adalah 96 siswa,
sementara sampel yang diambil sebanyak 23 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik
purposive sampling.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat hubungan positif
antara keterampilan dasar mengajar mahasiwa guru dengan motivasi belajar siswa.
Hal ini dilihat dari nilai koefisien korelasi yang dihasilkan positif, yaitu sebesar
0.416. Hubungan keterampilan dasar mengajar mahasiswa guru dengan motivasi
belajar siswa juga dinyatakan signifikan. Hal ini dilihat dari nilai signifikansi dari
hasil uji korelasi (0.048) < dari taraf signifikansi (0.05)/ This research was motivated by the importance of the role of the teachers
in education. The main task of a teacher is transferring knowledge. So it is important
for teachers to equip theirselves with competence and certain skills in order to create
meaningful learning and influence students to have motivation in learning and love
the science even more. A teacher who has good competence and certain teaching
skills will impact students motivation in learning so that they will be able to have
more responssibility to give the best of what they are capable of and get the best
score. The objectives of this research were to determine that there was a relationship
between student-teacher basic teaching skill and students’ learning motivation and
the significance of the relationship.
This research was a quantitative research correlational design with a 0.05
level of significance. Spearman Rank correlation coeffisien test and the SPSS
program were used to analyze the data. The population of this research were 96
students, while the samples taken were 23 students by using purposive sampling
technique.
The result of this research confirmed that: (1) There was a positive
relationship between student-teacher basic teaching skill and students learning
motivation. This was evident from the value of the correlation coefficient, which
was positive 0.416. Also, the relationship between student-teacher basic teaching
skill and students’ learning motivation was significant. This was evident from the
value of significance result of correlation (0.048) < than the level of significance
(0.05).
