Abstract
Penelitian ini didasarkan pada hasil observasi penerapan metode eksperimen
pengamatan bakteri kelas X-B SMA DNU. Ada beberapa kendala dan keterbatasan
yang ditemukan pada pelaksanaan metode eksperimen terkhususnya dari sikap
ilmiah dan motivasi siswa.Penelitian ini bertujuan meninjau pelaksanaan metode
eksperimen dari sikap ilmiah siswa dan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini adalah
kualitatif deskriptif dengan model analisis Miles dan Huberman. Dilaksanakan pada
28 September 2016 – 4 November 2016 dengan instrumen penelitian berupa: 1)
Wawancara mendalam kepada guru mentor, 2) catatan anekdot guru 3) kuesioner
kepada 5 kelas X dan guru mentor.Metode pembelajaran eksperimen pada kelas X
SMA DNU yang ditinjau dari sikap ilmiah siswa menunjukan: 1)sikap rasa ingin
tahu siswa ditunjukkan dengan bertanya kepada guru ketika mendapatkan
permasalahan/hal yang belum siswa mengerti dan ingin mereka ketahui; 2)sikap
berpikir kritis ditunjukkan dengan mencari solusi terhadap pertanyaan-pertanyaan
dengan bertanya kepada guru ataupun membandingkan hasil temuan dengan teori
yang ada; 3)sikap objektif ditunjukkan dengan menyatakan data/fakta dengan
sejujurnya tanpa menambah pendapat pribadi. 4)sikap berpikiran terbuka ditujukan
dengan menerima data atau opini, bekerjasama, mau berdiskusi, saling tanya jawab,
membandingkan data, menyimpulkan hasil bersama dalam kelompok. Ditinjau dari
motivasi belajar siswa menunjukan: 1)sikap antusias ditunjukan dengan sikap siswa
yang bertanya-tanya dan lebih aware terhadap apa yang dilakukan oleh
guru;2)sikap daya juang ditunjukan dengan mau mengulangi, terus-menerus
berusaha sampai mendapatkan hasil yang diharapkan dan mencari solusi/jawaban
atas pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang ditemukan samapi jam pembelajaran habis;
3)sikap kebutuhan terhadap pembelajaran ditunjukkan dari usaha siswa meminjam
jas lab dan menyediakan keparluan eksperimen dalam mengikuti kegiatan
pembelajaran./ This research is based on observation result of implementation of experimental
method to observatioin bacteria on X-B class DNU senior high school. There are
several obstacles and limitation found in the implementation methods in particular
from the scientific attitude and student motivation. This research aims to review the
implementation of experimental methods of students' scientific attitudes and
student learning motivation.The type of this research is qualitative descriptive with
Miles and Huberman analysis model.Implemented on September 28, 2016 -
November 4, 2016 with research instruments in the form of: 1) In-depth interviews
to mentor teachers, 2) anecdote notes teachers 3) questionnaires to 5 class X and
teachers mentors. The experimental method in grade X SMA DNU viewed from
the students 'scientific attitude shows: 1) the students' curiosity attitude is shown by
asking the teacher when they get the problems that students have not understood
and want them to know; 2) critical thinking is shown by finding solutions to
questions by asking teachers or comparing findings with existing theories; 3) the
objective attitude is expressed by stating the data / facts honestly without adding
personal opinion. 4) open-minded attitude is aimed at receiving data or opinions,
cooperating, willing to discuss, questioning each other, comparing data, summing
up the results together in groups. Viewed from student's motivation to show: 1)
enthusiasm is shown by attitude of student who is wondering and more aware to
what is done by teacher 2) attitude of fighting spirit shown by want to repeat, keep
trying to get expected result and looking for solutions/answers to the questions
found until the learning hours are up; 3) attitude needs of learning is shown from
the student's effort to borrow a lab coat and provide experimental skills in following
the learning activities.
