Abstract

Teknologi artificial intelligence (AI) memainkan peranan yang signifikan dalam kehidupan manusia saat ini. Berbagai literatur menunjukkan dampak positif dari eksistensi teknologi AI, namun tidak sedikit juga penelitian yang membahas mengenai dampak negatifnya dalam kehidupan manusia. Sebagian besar penelitian mengenai AI dalam satu dekade ini membahas berbagai aspek dalam bidang bisnis, teknologi, dan ilmu komputer. Namun, masih sangat minim penelitian yang membahas teknologi AI dalam bidang pendidikan, khususnya dalam kajian mengenai kepercayaan pengguna. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mengisi kesenjangan tersebut dengan mengeksplorasi keterkaitan antara kepercayaan pengguna dengan pemanfaatan teknologi AI dalam Pendidikan Tinggi. Penelitian ini secara khusus diharapkan dapat memberi kontribusi bagi civitas akademika dalam merancang pembelajaran yang dapat mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan AI dan bagi AI Designer dalam merancang teknologi yang reliabel untuk pengguna. Survei dilakukan pada mahasiswa (N=175) yang tersebar dalam 46 Universitas yang berbeda di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan pada teknologi AI memiliki pengaruh sebesar 36.3% (R2= .363) terhadap usage intention pengguna. Hasil penelitian juga mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi usia individu maka semakin tinggi pula kepercayaan dan usage intention yang dimilikinya terhadap teknologi AI. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat mengeksplorasi faktor – faktor yang memengaruhi kepercayaan pengguna dalam teknologi AI dalam bidang Pendidikan. / Artificial intelligence (AI) technology plays a significant role in human life today. Various pieces of literature indicate the positive impact of AI technology, but there are also numerous studies discussing its negative effects on human life. Most of the research on AI in the past decade has focused on various aspects in the fields of business, technology, and computer science. However, there is still very little research that explores AI technology in the field of education, particularly in studying user trust. This research aims to fill that gap by exploring the relationship between user trust and the utilization of AI technology in higher education. Specifically, this study is expected to contribute to the academic community in designing learning experiences that optimize the use of AI and to AI designers in developing reliable technology for users. A survey was conducted among (N=175) students from 46 different universities in Indonesia. The research findings indicate that trust in AI technology has a 36.3% influence (R2= .363) on users' usage intention. The study also indicates that the higher the individual's age, the higher their trust and usage intention towards AI technology. Further research is needed to explore the factors that influence user trust in AI technology in the field of education.
