Abstract

This study was conducted to discuss about the implementation of school rules to overcome bullying cases among seventh-graders in that school. Bullying is a common problem that occurs in most of the schools. In 2016, verbal bullying cases occurs among elementary students at a school in Jakarta, Indonesia. Moreover, it also happens among seventh-graders in a Christian school around Tangerang. This study found that bullying cases occur among the 7 graders in the form of verbal bullying. The study also found that rules regarding bullying implemented in the school is not effective enough. The data in this study was gathered through the interview with the school counselor and some students from 7A to 7D at a Christian Junior High School. Therefore, through this study, the author's recommendations for the school, teachers, and the next researchers are (1) to have programs that possibly build the relationship among the school members, (2) to gather more information about the topic by having more participants for the interview.
