Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan di kelas VI Sekolah Lentera Harapan Curug, peneliti menemukan kurangnya minat belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPA. Hal tersebut dapat terlihat dari banyaknya siswa yang kurang memperhatikan ketika guru menjelaskan materi, kurangnya ketertiban kelas, dan kurangnya partisipasi siswa saat pembelajaran. Metode permainan puzzle merupakan salah satu cara mengajar yang dapat digunakan oleh guru untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini peneliti ingin meningkatkan minat belajar siswa melalui penerapan metode permainan puzzle pada pelajaran IPA kelas VI di Sekolah Lentera Harapan Curug. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas VI yang terdiri atas 30 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi mentor, lembar observasi teman sejawat, angket siswa, dan jurnal refleksi harian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar IPA pada siswa kelas VI Sekolah Lentera Harapan Curug meningkat melalui metode permainan puzzle. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan ketercapaian indikator minat belajar yang telah mencapai kriteria baik. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode permainan puzzle dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPA apabila penerapan metode permainan puzzle terlaksana dengan baik. / According to the result observation done in Grade VI Sekolah Lentera harapan Curug, the researcher found the lack of students interest in Science. That can be seen from the number of students who did not pay attention when teacher explained the lesson, lack of discipline, lack of students‟ participation during learning process. Puzzle game method is one of teaching method used by the teacher to increase students learning interest. Therefore, in this research, the researcher want to increase students learning interest through implementing puzzle game method on grade VI Science subject in Sekolah Lentera Harapan Curug. This research used Class Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The subject of the research are VI grade students consist of 30 students. Data collected using mentor observation checklist, peer observation sheet, students‟ questionnaire, and reflection journal. The result of the research shows that student‟s interest in learning science for 6th grade in sekolah lentera harapan curug is increase through puzzle game method. It shows from when it can reach the indicator of student‟s interest in the criteria of Good.
