Abstract

Kemampuan berbicara merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang penting untuk dikembangnya secara optimal guna pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak sejak dini. Kemampuan ini berpengaruh pada kemampuan sosial dan komunikasi. Selain dari kemampuan berbicara, rasa percaya diri dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif juga mempengaruhi kemampuan sosial dan komunikasi anak, mereka dapat mengekspresikan opininya sendiri di depan orang lain dalam komunitas mereka. Salah satu cara yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara, kepercayaan diri dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa adalah dengan menggunakan metode show and tell, metode ini mendorong dan menstimulasi kemampuan anak. Dengan metode show and tell, siswa berani mengekspresikan pendapatnya di depan orang banyak serta mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif anak jadi lebih ekspresif dan fleksibel dalam cara berpikirnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara, kepercayaan diri dan berpikir kreatif siswa Nursery dengan metode show and tell. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan sebanyak tiga siklus, dengan subjek anak Nursery di TK KK yang berjumlah 13 siswa. Penilaian dilakukan dengan menggunakan rubrik observasi, dari hasil penilaian maka didapatkan nilai kemampuan berbicara, kepercayaan dan berpikir kreatif mengalami peningkatan. Dari perbandingan antara nilai pre-test dan post-test, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode show and tell ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara, kepercayaan diri dan berpikir kreatif siswa. / Speaking ability is one of the abilities that is important to develop optimally for the growth and development of children from an early age. This ability affects the social and communication skills of children. Apart from the speaking skills, self-confidence, and creative thinking also affect children's skills, children become able to express their own opinions in front of other people in their community. One way to improve students' speaking skills, self-confidence and creative thinking skills is to use the show and tell method. This method encourages and stimulates children to speak confidently in front of others. With the show and tell method, students have the courage to express their opinions in front of many people and develop children's creative thinking skills to become more expressive and flexible in their way of thinking. The purpose of this study was to improve the speaking skills, confidence and creative thinking of Nursery students using the show and tell method. This study used classroom action research conducted in three cycles, with the subject of Nursery children in KK Preschool totalling 13 students. The assessment was carried out using the observation rubric, from the results of the assessment the scores and the comparison between pre-test and post-test scores, it can be concluded that the show and tell method can improve students' speaking skills, self-confidence, and creative thinking.
