Abstract

God created human in God’s image. As image of God, human are given wisdom and ability to learn, including students. The response from students should be use those gifts from God through learn actively in school. When K1 students in one of the Christian schools in Jakarta was observed, it was found that students’ activeness in the classroom is low. Based on this problem, the purposes of this final project are to explain why active learning can enhance students’ activeness and to explain how to design an active learning during the learning process. The result carried out that active learning strategy could help students to be active, engage and participate in learning. In designing active learning, the teacher explore and elaborate knowledge of active learning strategy and it is implemented into the whole learning process. Therefore, to bring back students into God’s likeness, the teacher also has important role as facilitator and guide to implement the active learning strategy. This final project provide recommendations for teachers to emphasize the concept of learning, to build appropriate facial expression, and for next authors to elaborate more activities for active learning to be more varied.
