Daun serai dapur (Cymbopogon citratus (DC.) Stapf) memiliki kandungan senyawa metabolit sekunder yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai antibakteri. Staphylococcus epidermidis merupakan salah satu bakteri penyebab jerawat, kandungan antibakteri yang terdapat memiliki potensi untuk dijadikan pengobatan anti jerawat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas antibakteri serta formulasi ekstrak daun serai dapur untuk pengobatan anti jerawat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian eksperimental laboratorium dengan membuat tiga variasi konsentrasi berbeda pada karbopol 940 sebagai gelling agent dan tween 80 dan span 80 sebagai emulsifying agent. Uji aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak etanol 96% daun serai dapur menghasilkan zona hambat F1 (10,8 mm;sedang), F2 (11,5 mm;kuat), dan F3 (11,9 mm;kuat). Sediaan emulgel dilakukan evaluasi organoleptik, pH, homogenitas, daya sebar, viskositas, uji tipe emulsi, dan uji stabilitas menggunakan metode freeze thaw cycling. Hasil uji stabilitas menunjukkan sediaan stabil sampai pada hari ke dua. Sedangkan, pada hari selanjutnya terdapat penurunan bentuk fisik dan konsistensi sediaan. Melalui penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol 96% daun serai dapur memiliki aktivitas antibakteri, formulasi ketiga sediaan emulgel memenuhi persyaratan sediaan, dan berdasarkan uji statistik viskositas tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antar formula. Namun, terdapat perbedaan hasil dengan teori evaluasi daya sebar dan viskositas pada uji stabilitas. / Lemongrass leaves (Cymbopogon citratus (DC.) Stapf) contain secondary metabolites which can be used as antibacterials. Staphylococcus epidermidis is one of the bacteria that causes acne, its antibacterial content has the potential to be used as an anti-acne treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of antibacterial and lemongrass leaf extract formulations for anti-acne treatment. The research method used was laboratory experimental research by making three different concentration variations of carbopol 940 as a gelling agent and tween 80 and span 80 as emulsifying agents. Antibacterial activity test of 96% ethanol extract of citronella leaves produced inhibition zones F1 (10.8 mm; moderate), F2 (11.5 mm; strong), and F3 (11.9 mm; strong). Emulgel preparations were evaluated for organoleptic, pH, homogeneity, spreadability, viscosity, emulsion type test, and stability test using the freeze thaw cycling method. The results of the stability test showed that the preparation was stable until the second day. Meanwhile, on the following day there was a decrease in the physical form and consistency of the preparation. Through this study it can be concluded that the 96% ethanol extract of lemongrass leaves has antibacterial activity, the three emulgel formulations meet the preparation requirements, and based on the statistical test of viscosity there is no significant difference between the formulas. However, there are differences in results with the theory of spreadability and viscosity evaluation in the stability test.
