Abstract
Nowadays, many people are interested in games, but most of these games are played on standard input devices, so playing on standard input devices will only give you a monotonous gaming experience. This study was conducted by comparing the use of Kinect to computer science standards, such as the use of a mouse when playing a Catching game, in order to provide better information about the gaming experience. Kinect can capture human body movements in the form of a depth sensor from projected movements. This test was conducted by showing the game to multiple respondents and obtaining feedback on the game through a survey. The results of the survey completed by the respondents suggest that this game is more fun using his Kinect than a mouse and can also be used as an alternative to the game to provide a better gaming experience. /
Pada saat ini game merupakan permainan yang diminati oleh banyak orang, namun kebanyakan game tersebut dimainkan dengan peralatan input standar sehingga bermain game dengan alat input standar hanya akan memberikan pengalaman bermain yang monoton. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara membandingkan antara penggunaan Kinect dengan standard ilmu komputer seperti penggunaan Mouse dalam bermain catching game untuk mendapatkan informasi pengalaman bermain yang lebih baik. Kinect dapat menangkap pergerakan tubuh manusia dari pergerakan yang diproyeksikan dalam bentuk depht sensor. Pengujian ini dilakukan dengan cara mendemokan game ini kepada beberapa responden yang akan memberikan tanggapan mengenai game ini melalui kuesioner. Hasil dari kuesioner yang diisi oleh responden tersebut dapat dinyatakan bahwa game ini lebih menyenangkan menggunakan Kinect daripada menggunakan Mouse dan dapat digunakan juga sebagai alternatif dalam bermain game sehingga dapat juga memberikan pengalaman bermain yang lebih baik lagi.
