Abstract
Dalam pelajaran Matematika, hasil belajar yang paling sering diukur
adalah hasil belajar dalam aspek kognitif. Hasil belajar kognitif dapat dijadikan
bahan evaluasi untuk melihat perkembangan siswa terhadap hal yang telah
dipelajari. Tinggi rendahnya hasil belajar kognitif dilihat dari nilai yang dicapai
siswa setelah melakukan ujian. Penelitian yang dilakukan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh
kajian teori bahwa salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi hasil belajar kognitif
adalah faktor emosi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh kecerdasan
emosional siswa terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang dilakukan di salah satu
SMP yang terletak di Karawaci, Tangerang.
Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif untuk melakuan penelitan
ini. Pengambilan data mengenai hasil belajar kognitif menggunakan lembar tes
siswa. Pengambilan data mengenai kecerdasan emosional menggunakan lembar
kuesioner kecerdasan emosional. Data diambil di SMP JLK Mentawai pada
Selasa, 24 November 2015 dengan sampel sebanyak 30 orang siswa kelas 7. Hasil
penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi dengan hasil belajar kognitif
sebagai variabel terikat dan kecerdasan emosional sebagai variabel bebas.
Setelah dilakukan pengolahan dan analisis data, penelitian ini memberikan
hasil bahwa korelasi antara hasil belajar kognitif dan kecerdasan emosional adalah
0,516 dengan kriteria hubungan kuat. Persamaan regresinya adalah ̂
yang berarti bahwa tanpa kecerdasan emosional maka nilai hasil belajar
kognitif sendiri adalah 58,781 dan setiap kenaikan 1 nilai kecerdasan emosional
akan memberikan penambahan nilai kepada hasil belajar kognitif sebesar 3,075.
Angka R Square yang diberikan adalah 0,267 yang berarti 26,7% hasil belajar
kognitif dipengaruhi oleh kecerdasan emosional. Penelitian ini signifikan pada
taraf kepercayaan sebesar 95%. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa
terdapat pengaruh antara kecerdasan emosional terhadap hasil belajar kognitif./ In Mathematics, learning outcome which most often measured is learning
outcome in cognitive aspect. Cognitive learning outcome can be used as an
evaluation to see the progression of students’ lesson learned. The level of
cognitive learning outcome can be seen from the score achieved by students after
the exam. Research conducted motivated by the study of theory that one of the
factors that affect the cognitive learning outcome is emotional factors. This
research is aims to look at the effect of students’ emotional intelligence on
cognitive learning outcome which conducted at one of the Junior High School in
Karawaci, Tangerang.
The researcher used a quantitative approach to performing this research.
Data of cognitive learning outcome collected using student test sheet. Data
emotional intelligence collected using emotional intelligence questionnaire. Data
taken at SMP JKL Mentawai on Tuesday, November 24th 2015 with 30 samples of
7
th grade student. Results of the study were analyzed using regression with
cognitive learning outcome as dependent variable and emotional intelligence as
independent variable.
After processing and analysis of data, this research gives result that the
correlation between cognitive learning outcome and emotional intelligence is
0.516 with strong correlation criteria. The regression equation is ̂
which means that without emotional intelligence, the score of cognitive
learning outcome itself is 58.781 and each 1 of score emotional intelligence will
add 3.075 points to cognitive learning outcome. The number of R square give
means that 26.7% cognitive learning outcome are affect by emotional intelligence.
This research is significance at a trust level of 95%. Therefore, it can be
concluded that there is an effect of emotional intelligence towards cognitive
learning outcome.
