Abstract
Berdasarkan pengamatan yang dilakukan oleh peneliti pada kelas K1 di
sekolah XYZ Manado, peneliti mengamati bahwa keaktifan belajar siswa kurang.
peneliti mengamati bahwa selama pembelajaran berlangsung, siswa kurang
berkontribusi aktif mengikuti pembelajaran. Hal ini terlihat, ketika guru sedang
mengajar siswa tidak memperhatikan pembelajaran yang disampaikan, begitu juga
ketika guru mengajukan pertanyaan, hanya beberapa siswa yang meresponi
pertanyaan tersebut. Ada juga siswa yang melakukan kegiatan yang tidak
berhubungan dengan pembelajaran seperti, mengobrol dengan temannya, berlari�lari di kelas, diam dan melamun. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk
meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa dan agar keaktifan siswa menjadi terarah
yaitu aktif belajar. Guru sebagai fasiltator memiliki peran penting untuk
memfasilitasi pembelajaran agar memotivasi siswa untuk berkontribusi aktif di
dalam kelas. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan media
audiovisual untuk memfasilitasi pembelajaran agar siswa aktif mengikuti
pembelajaran.
Metode penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti ini ialah metode Penelitian
Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart. Penelitian dilaksanakan
berlangsung sebanyak dua siklus. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan dalam
penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan hasil data penelitian yaitu lembar observasi
check-list, lembar observasi terbuka, lembar wawancara, jurnal refleksi, RPP, dan
umpan balik mentor.
Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa keaktifan
belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan melalui penggunaan media audiovisual.
Kesimpulan ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatan keberhasilan indikator pada setiap
siklusnya. Peningkatan keaktifan belajar siswa juga didasarkan pada hasil data yang
diperoleh pada setiap instrumen yang digunakan. Dengan demikian, dapat
disimpulkan bahwa media audiovisual mampu meningkatkan keaktifan belajar
siswa./ According to the observation done by the researcher on a class of K1 in
school XYZ Manado, the researcher has observed that the students were getting
less active in learning. Researcher has observed that as the teaching and learning
process went on, the students less contributed themselves in learning. This could be
seen when the teacher was teaching, the students did not pay attention the delivered
lesson. So is when the teacher gave questions, only few of the students gave
response. There were also students who did other things those were not related to
the lesson being taught such as chatting with friends, running around the class,
lonely, and daydreaming. For that reason, this research is done in order to increase
students’ active behavior and to make students’ active in learning. Teacher as a
facilitator has a big role in facilitating learning process in order to motivate the
students to contribute actively in class. Therefore, in this research, the researcher
used audiovisual media to facilitate learning process so that the students can be
active in learning.
Research methode used was the Classroom Action Research (CAR). The
model of the Classroom Action Research used was Kemmis and McTaggart model.
Research instrument used in this research to get the result were students’ active
learning observation sheet, implementation of audiovisual media check-list
observation sheet, open observation sheet, interview sheet, lesson plans, and
mentor’s feedback sheet.
From the research, the conclusion can be drawn that the students’ active is be
improved by the use of audiovisual media. This is can be seen by the progress on every
cycle. The increase of students’ active learning are based on the data gathered from all of
the instruments. Therefore, can be concluded that implementation of audiovisual media can
improve students’ active learning.
