Abstract
TK-A student comprehension in the classroom is one of the factors
determining the success of students in the academic field. Researcher found the
students difficulty in understanding when students learning mathematics. This is
reflected in the value of students who are less than the KKM, 75. To solved these
problems, researchers used a type of cooperative learning Make a Match to help
students improve comprehension in the classroom. Researcher also apply learning
steps Make a Match in accordance with the needs of students.
The method used is the method of classroom action research (CAR) and
Taggart Kemmis models that lasted for two cycles. Teaching takes place in a
kindergarten class-A kindergarten ABC Cikarang with enrollment of 19 children.
Implementation done two cycles. The researcher use the following instruments to
obtain information, like observation sheets, sheet questionnaires, interview sheets,
journal reflections, student test sheets, and documentation.
Based on this research indicators, student scores increased in the first
cycle of 75 to 83.4 in the second cycle so that the use of methods Make a Match is
an appropriate method to enhance students' understanding./ Pemahaman siswa TK-A di dalam kelas merupakan salah satu faktor
penentu keberhasilan siswa di bidang akademis. Peneliti menemukan kesulitan
siswa di dalam memahami pembelajaran matematika. Hal ini terlihat pada nilai
siswa yang kurang dari nilai KKM, yaitu 75. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut,
peneliti menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match untuk
membantu siswa meningkatkan pemahaman di dalam kelas. Peneliti juga
menerapkan langkah-langkah pembelajaran Make a Match yang sesuai dengan
kebutuhan siswa.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan
Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Taggart yang berlangsung selama dua siklus.
Pengajaran dilaksanakan di satu kelas TK-A Taman Kanak-kanak ABC Cikarang
dengan jumlah siswa 19 anak. Pelaksanaan dilakukan dua siklus. Peneliti
menggunakan instrumen berikut untuk mendapatkan informasi, yakni lembar
observasi, lembar angket, lembar wawancara, jurnal refleksi, lembar tes siswa,
dan dokumentasi.
Berdasarkan indikator penelitian ini, nilai siswa mengalami peningkatan
pada siklus pertama 75 menjadi 83.4 pada siklus kedua sehingga penggunaan
metode Make a Match merupakan metode tepat untuk meningkatkan pemahaman
siswa.
