Abstract
Pendidikan Kristen memandang kemampuan berpikir kritis sebagai aspek yang penting karena melalui kemampuan berpikir kritis, siswa didorong untuk membedakan mana informasi yang benar dan yang tidak benar. Kemampuan berpikir kritis juga dapat menuntun siswa pada pengetahuan yang benar dan mampu membuktikan kebenaran-kebenaran tersebut di dalam kelas. Faktanya, kemampuan berpikir kritis di Indonesia masih sangat rendah. Oleh karena itu, salah satu cara untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis adalah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Inkuiri Yurisprudensi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji pentingnya model pembelajaran Inkuiri Yurisprudensi dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penulis menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Manusia sebagai gambar dan rupa Allah dianugerahkan rasio untuk berpikir kritis. Rasio ini harus dipertanggungjawabkan kepada Allah. Model pembelajaran Inkuiri Yurisprudensi dapat menjadi sarana untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Model ini dipengaruhi oleh filsafat progresivisme dan pedagogik kritis yang berorientasi pada kemajuan, tetapi tidak secara langsung dikembangkan oleh pencetus kedua filsafat tersebut. Oleh karena itu, guru harus mengkaji kembali model pembelajaran Inkuiri Yurisprudensi yang akan diterapkan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan prinsip Alkitab. Saran penulis adalah pembaca perlu mempertimbangkan kebutuhan siswa dalam memilih model pembelajaran dan mencari tahu filsafat yang mempengaruhinya. / Christian education views critical thinking skills as an important aspect because, through critical thinking skills, students are encouraged to distinguish between true and false information. Critical thinking skills can also lead students to true knowledge and be able to prove these truths in class. The ability to think critically in Indonesia is still very low. Therefore, one way to develop critical thinking skills is to apply the Jurisprudential Inquiry learning model. The purpose of this study was to examine the importance of the Jurisprudential Inquiry learning model in
developing students' critical thinking skills. The author uses a literature review research method. Humans as the image and likeness of God are bestowed with reason to think critically. This ratio must be accountable to Allah. The
Jurisprudential Inquiry learning model can be a means to develop critical thinking skills. This model is influenced by the philosophy of progressivism and critical pedagogy which is oriented towards progress but was not directly developed by the originators of the two philosophies. Therefore, teachers must review the Jurisprudential Inquiry learning model that will be applied to develop critical
thinking skills with Bible principles. The author suggests that readers need to consider students' needs in choosing a learning model and find out the philosophy that influences it.
