Abstract
Berdasarkan hasil observasi telah dilakukan peneliti di kelas 2 sekolah
ABC Manado maka disimpulkan bahwa kedisiplinan siswa masih kurang. Peneliti
menemukan bahwa siswa tidak mengikuti peraturan dan prosedur yang ada di
dalam kelas. Peneliti kemudian memutuskan menggunakan reward dan
konsekuensi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dan mengembangkan kemampuan
peneliti dalam mendisiplinkan siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk
menyelediki apakah reward dan konsekuensi dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan
siswa dan juga untuk menemukan tentang bagaimana menerapkan reward dan
konsekuensi secara efektif dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa.
Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK)
yang ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas II
yang terdiri dari 25 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen penelitian berupa,
lembar observasi mentor, lembar kuesioner siswa, lembar wawancara mentor dan
teman sejawat, dan jurnal refleksi harian dan daftar centang dari mentor dan
teman sejawat. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara statistik sederhana dan
kualitatif.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, peneliti menyimpulkan
bahwa penerapan reward dan konsekuensi dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa
kelas II. Penerapan reward dan konsekuensi dilaksanakan dengan memperhatikan
kesesuaian dengan perkembangan siswa, memberikan penjelasan mengenai
prosedur reward dan konsekuensi kepada siswa, mempertahankan kekonsistenan
penerapan reward dan konsekuensi serta mengkombinasikan reward dan
konsekuensi dengan komunikasi non-verbal./Based on the researcher’s observation in grade II ABC School, researcher
found that there was problem with students’ discipline.The students could not
follow the rules and procedures in the class well. The student chated with their
friend in the learning process without permission, students did not raise their hand
before talk to the calss and some student palyed with their stuff during learning
process.The researcher decide to use reward and consequence to fix the problem.
The purposes of this research are to know is reward and consequence can increase
the students’ discipline and to find about how to implement reward and
consequence effectively to increase the students’ discipline.
The method that use in this research was Classroom Action Research
(CAR) that consist of two cycles in. The subjects of this research are 24 students
in grade II in ABC school. The sources of data in this research are from mentor’s
and peer’s observation sheet, students’ questioner sheet, mentor and peer
observation sheet, researcher reflection journal and mentor’s and peer’s checklist.
The data that found analyzed with simple statistic and qualitative.
Based on the research result, it was found that the implementation of
reward and consequence increase the students’ discipline.The implementation of
reward and consequence applied with considering the suitability of student’s
development, giving explanation about the procedur of reward and consequence
for the studnets, maintain the consistency of the implementation reward and
consequence, and combine the procedur of reward and consequence with non�verbal communication.
