Abstract
Allah menciptakan manusia dan menganugerahi karakter yang serupa dengan-Nya sebagai gambar dan rupa-Nya (Imago Dei). Karakter menghormati dibutuhkan oleh siswa untuk membangun relasi yang harmonis antara manusia dengan Allah maupun sesama. Karakter menghormati merupakan bagian penting dalam komunitas untuk membangun kerja sama dan kolaborasi yang baik di antara anggota kelompok. Namun, terdapat beberapa tantangan dalam mewujudkan relasi yang harmonis yaitu kurangnya karakter menghormati siswa di antara komunitas kelas. Siswa tidak menghormati guru dan teman sekelasnya dalam pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengatasi masalah ini, metode pembelajaran kolaboratif digunakan sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan karakter menghormati siswa di dalam kelompok. Pembelajaran kolaboratif menolong seseorang untuk mengalami pemulihan karakter sehingga dapat membangun relasi dan kehidupan dengan sesama. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan implementasi metode pembelajaran kolaboratif untuk meningkatkan karakter menghormati siswa, menguraikan keuntungan dari implementasi metode pembelajaran kolaboratif, dan tantangan yang terjadi selama implementasi metode pembelajaran kolaboratif di dalam kelas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran kolaboratif dapat meningkatkan karakter menghormati siswa, hasil akademik siswa, dan lingkungan belajar yang harmonis. Guru Kristen diharapkan mampu menerapkan pembelajaran kolaboratif yang atraktif dan mendorong sekolah untuk menjalin kolaborasi antara sekolah, guru, dan orangtua/God created humans and endowed them with character as His image and likeness (Imago Dei). Character is essential for students to build harmonious relationships between humans and God as well as with others. Respecting character is a crucial part of the community to foster good cooperation and collaboration among group members. However, there are challenges in realizing harmonious relationships, such as a lack of respect character among students within the class community. Therefore, to address this issue, collaborative learning methods are utilized as an effort to enhance students' character of respect within groups. Collaborative learning assists individuals in experiencing character recovery, enabling them to build relationships and lead a life with others. The objective of this study is to elucidate the implementation of collaborative learning methods to enhance students' character of respect, outline the benefits of implementing collaborative learning methods, and the challenges faced during the implementation of collaborative learning methods in the classroom. The method employed in this writing is descriptive qualitative research. The results of the research indicate that collaborative learning methods can enhance the outcomes of respect character and academic achievements of students, as well as improve a harmonious learning environment. Christian teachers are expected to be able to implement engaging collaborative learning and encourage schools to establish collaboration between schools, teachers, and parents.
