Abstract
Komunitas belajar siswa di dalam kelas siswa menjadi bagian penting untuk
meningkatkan kolaborasi, pemahaman, dan motivasi belajar siswa di dalam
pembelajaran. Namun fakta yang terjadi, siswa di dalam kelas cenderung bersikap
individualis daripada membentuk satu komunitas belajar yang aktif. Oleh karena
itu, guru mempunyai peran dalam merancang pembelajaran untuk membangun
terbentuknya komunitas belajar siswa di dalam kelas. Hal tersebut, membawa
kepada tujuan penulisan paper, yakni mendeskripsikan penerapan model
pembelajaran berbasis proyek untuk membangun komunitas belajar siswa di dalam
kelas, dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Dalam menjalankan
perannya guru bukan hanya sekedar menyediakan kebutuhan siswa, melainkan juga
membimbing siswa. Model pembelajaran berbasis proyek sangat cocok digunakan
di dalam pembelajaran dengan tujuan untuk membangun komunitas belajar siswa,
karena model ini dapat membawa keterbentukan komunitas belajar yang
anggotanya berelasi dan berkolaborasi aktif di dalam kelompok pengerjaan tugas
proyek. Saran dalam penelitian ini, yakni dalam penerapan model pembelajaran
berbasis proyek, guru perlu membutuhkan waktu yang cukup untuk mengamati
perkembangan komunitas belajar yang terbentuk dan merancang pembagian waktu
di dalam pembelajaran dengan baik, serta perencaan yang matang sehingga ketika
pelaksaaan penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dapat meminimalisir
kendala-kendala yang mungkin akan terjadi dalam pelaksanaannya di komunitas
belajar siswa/Student learning communities in the classroom are an important part of increasing
student collaboration, understanding, and motivation in learning. But the fact is,
students in the classroom tend to be individualists rather than forming an active
learning community. Therefore, teachers have a role in designing learning to build
the formation of student learning communities in the classroom. This leads to the
purpose of writing a paper, which describes the application of a project-based
learning model to build student learning communities in the classroom, using
qualitative descriptive methods. In carrying out its role, the teacher not only
provides the needs of students, but also guides students. The project-based learning
model is very suitable for use in learning with the aim of building a student learning
community, because this model can lead to the formation of a learning community
whose members relate and collaborate actively in the project task work group. The
suggestion in this study, namely in the application of the project-based learning model, teachers need sufficient time to observe the development of the learning
community formed and design the distribution of time in learning well, as well as
careful planning so that when implementing the application of the project-based
learning model can minimize obstacles that may occur in its implementation in the
student learning community.
