Abstract

Guru Kristen berperan memberikan pembelajaran bermakna yang membawa siswa kepada pengenalan akan Allah dalam ilmu kimia. Berdasarkan hasil observasi pada saat praktik mengajar dapat dilihat bahwa pembelajaran yang dilakukan lebih berfokus memenuhi kognitif siswa dalam pelajaran kimia. Aktivitas dalam kelas juga dilakukan berulang kali untuk memenuhi jam pelajaran yang membuat siswa mulai tidak fokus belajar dan sulit diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan tujuan mengkaji peran guru Kristen profesional dalam merancang pembelajaran guna menunjang pembelajaran bermakna dalam ilmu kimia. Peran guru Kristen profesional dalam merancang pembelajaran bermakna dimulai dengan melakukan diagnosis, menyiapkan materi, pemahaman sepanjang hayat dan pertanyaan esensial, strategi dan penilaian hingga aktivitas dalam kelas dilengkapi alokasi waktu yang jelas berdasarkan wawasan Kristen alkitabiah. Peran guru Kristen profesional yang mampu merancang pembelajaran kimia berdasarkan wawasan Kristen alkitabiah mampu memperlengkapi siswa secara head, heart dan hand sebagai murid Kristus. Siswa dibekali secara konten dengan benar, mampu memberikan respon mengenai apa yang dipelajari sebagai karya Allah, dan menggunakannya dalam kehidupan. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya dapat mengkaji penerapan metode tertentu seperti problem solving untuk memfasilitasi siswa secara pemahaman dan langsung mencoba menerapkan dalam kehidupan mereka berdasarkan solusi yang mereka pikirkan. / The role of professional Christian teachers is to provide meaningful learning that brings knowledge of God. However, during teaching practice it was found that students' learning was more cognitive in chemistry lessons. Class activities are carried out repeatedly to fulfill class hours so that students start to get bored and find it difficult to use them in life. Through the qualitative descriptive method, the aim of the writing is to examine the role of professional Christian teachers in designing learning to support meaningful learning in chemistry. Chemistry is a part of studying the universe as a general revelation to know God the Creator. So learning is impossible to carry out without planning. Finally, through professional Christian teachers who are able to design chemistry lessons based on biblical Christian views, students can be equipped head, heart and hand as disciples of Christ. Students are equipped with the right content, able to respond to knowledge as the work of God and use it in life. Then, future researchers can study the application of certain methods such as problem solving to facilitate students' understanding and immediately try to apply them in their lives based on the solutions they think of.
