Abstract

Pemahaman konsep merupakan aspek yang sangat penting di dalam proses belajar. Tanpa pemahaman, maka pembelajaran akan menjadi hafalan saja dan dapat berlalu dengan sia-sia. Kondisi nyata yang ditemukan pada salah satu sekolah di Kota Bogor, kebanyakan siswa masih mengandalkan hafalan dan hanya mampu mencocokkan teori dengan contoh yang diberikan oleh guru, sehingga mereka bingung ketika diperhadapkan dengan kondisi yang berbeda dengan hafalannya. Filsafat pragmatis memandang bahwa kebenaran adalah sesuatu yang didasarkan pada pengalaman. Sementara itu, filsafat pendidikan Kristen percaya bahwa semua kebenaran adalah kebenaran yang berasal dari Allah. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan hasil kajian dari implementasi model pembelajaran kooperatif Think, Pair, Share (TPS) untuk menolong pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi kaidah kebahasaan drama di kelas XII dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran TPS ini mampu menolong pemahaman konsep siswa. Penerapan setiap sintaks dari model pembelajaran TPS ini melibatkan setiap siswa untuk secara aktif belajar dan mengasah kemampuannya guna memperoleh pemahaman konsep. Sebagai saran, para guru perlu melakukan banyak latihan untuk memastikan pemahaman siswa. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya yang menggunakan model pembelajaran ini, perlu mempertimbangkan alokasi waktu dan jumlah anggota di setiap kelompok dengan baik agar hasilnya lebih maksimal./ Understanding concepts is an essential aspect of the learning process. Without understanding, learning will only become rote and also be lost in vain. The real condition found in one school in Bogor City, most students still rely on memorization and are only able to match theories with examples given by the teacher, so they are confused when faced with different conditions from their memorization. Pragmatic philosophy views truth as something based on experience. Meanwhile, Christian educational philosophy believes that all truth is God’s truth. This paper aims to present the results of the implementation of the Think, Pair, Share  (TPS) cooperative learning model to help students' understanding concepts on rules of dramatic language material in class XII using qualitative descriptive methods. The results of the study showed that the implementation of this TPS learning model was able to help students' understanding of concepts. The application of each syntax of this TPS learning model involves each student actively learning and honing his ability to gain an understanding of concepts. As a suggestion, teachers need to do a lot of practice to ensure students' understanding. For the next researcher who uses this learning model, it is necessary to consider the allocation of time and the number of members in each group well so that the results are maximized.
