Mahasiswa berada pada tahapan di mana eksplorasi diri terjadi dan rentan terhadap berbagai krisis seperti tekanan akademik maupun sosial yang dapat memicu social anxiety. Studi kuantitatif ini meneliti kontribusi body image terhadap social anxiety 124 mahasiswa di Jabodetabek dengan analisis regresi linear menggunakan Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire–Appearance Scale dan Skala Kecemasan Sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dimensi appearance orientation body imge berkontribusi sebesar 3,5% dalam menjelaskan social anxiety mahasiswa di Jabodetabek. / College students are in a stage where self-exploration occurs, making them vulnerable to various crises such as academic and social pressures that can trigger social anxiety. This quantitative study examines the contribution of body image to social anxiety among 124 students in the Jabodetabek area using linear regression analysis with the Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire–Appearance Scale and Social Anxiety Scale. The research shows that the appearance orientation dimension of body image contributes 3.5% in explaining social anxiety among students in Jabodetabek.
