Abstract
Saat ini industri K-Pop sedang mendominasi dunia. Biasanya, para penggemar tidak hanya menyukai musik dari industri tersebut, tetapi juga sosok dari para idola K-Pop. Di Indonesia sendiri, tidak sedikit orang yang menjadi penggemar idola K-pop. Namun, kesukaan yang berlebih kepada idola K-Pop mampu menimbulkan perilaku parasocial relationship. Parasocial relationship adalah sebuah hubungan yang hanya terjadi secara satu pihak dan berkemungkinan untuk mempengaruhi kepercayaan seseorang tentang hubungan romantis. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh antara parasocial relationship terhadap romantic beliefs khususnya pada young adults perempuan single yang menyukai K-Pop. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif korelasional yang melibatkan 527 partisipan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, parasocial relationship mampu memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap romantic beliefs pada young adults perempuan single yang menyukai K-Pop. / The K-Pop industry is currently dominating the world. Usually, the fans not only like the music from the industry, but also the figures of K-Pop idols. In Indonesia itself, quite a few people are fans of K-pop idols. However, excessive liking for idols can lead to parasocial relationship behavior. A parasocial relationship is a relationship that only occurs with one party and has the potential to influence a person's beliefs about romantic relationships. Therefore, this research aims to see the influence of parasocial relationships on romantic beliefs, especially in single female young adults who like K-Pop. This research is a correlational quantitative research involving 527 participants. Based on the results of this research, parasocial relationships are able to have a significant influence on romantic beliefs in single female young adults who likes K-Pop.
